I've felt lousy all weekend long. Not the omg-I'm-gonna-die kind of lousy but the kind that made me stay home instead of meeting with
greedy_dancer and
french_hobbit yesterday which was so sad *pout*
I did watch a whole bunch of stuff, though. Which, I guess, doesn't make such a big difference from usual but what I mean is that I watched all my DVDs and CDs during the day without setting a foot outside or anything and that I slept last night and even started early, like, around midnight! Yes.
So anyway, I watched a lot of things, including:
The Sentinel: Jim and Blair make the best team ever - lovers usually do, right? - but seeing Simon and Blair team up to save Jim is always a thing of beauty.
Gilmore Girls: rocks like a rocking thing and the fact that I finally reached the last episode on the last disc of my box set makes me sad. I guess I'll have to watch the whole season again in Italian or German for a little diversity.
Psych: that show is still almost unbearably cute and Gus and Shawn are almost unbearably adorable and Gus! Gus is the biggest dork that ever dorked and I love him so. Hey,
sockich, know what? Next time someone mocks us for our love for Domino Day? We'll send them to Gus, because dude! A Spelling Bee geek? That has got to be worse than Domino Day geek, right? I adore Gus-Shawn and I'm totally digging Henry-Shawn. So yeah, still mucho love for that new series.
Papa to Kiss in the Dark: Fluffy, cute, silly and funny yaoi. With a teensy bit of angst. Full of clichés but such cute and great clichés, I'm not complaining. It did have underage sex and incest, though, so I guess when I say it's fluffy and cute it's still not the kind of fluffy and cute that would suit everyone? But still.
As for Stargate SG-1, it's sitting on my HD and waiting to be watched. So I didn't forget about it, okay? No need to come after me with a stick :-)

And yes, Psych is awfully cute, isn't it?
It is, it totally is *loves*

Date: 2006-07-16 02:26 pm (UTC)But yeah, that scene where he admits that he set his friend up intentionally so he wouldn't be a nerd was hilarious.
I'm kinda on the fence on whether I like or hate the father. He is kinda hot, but this schtick with him feels like it might be annoying soon rather than as cute as they might think it is.
I wonder if the cop chick (the one engaged to the evil cop) will show up again. I guess not, it probably was a pilot/series deal. Too bad. I kinda like assy!cop, as an antagonist, for fun :D

Date: 2006-07-16 02:39 pm (UTC)I'm liking Henry a lot; what did it for me in particular was at the end of the pilot when we realise he'd kept the newspaper with his son on the first page? That was cute. He is annoying too but so far - and dude, only second episode, I know - it's not a problem for me. I actually hope I'll like him more and more because I love the scenes between father & son. But between you and me; I'm glad my dad isn't like him.

Date: 2006-07-16 02:47 pm (UTC)dude, i had to watch the end of the ep first, and without the sound on - that's my coping mechanism, when i know what happens i can go back and watch it 'normally' with minimal trauma. poor SamDean! *wibbles*

Date: 2006-07-16 06:16 pm (UTC)And you're so right. Spelling Bee geek totally beats Domino Day geek in objective lameness (I call it objective lameness because I don't see it as lame, but I do realize most of the world does, lol). We so win. *Paul Gross arms*

OMG, how much do I love this? And people wonder why I'm addicted to the internets and LJ. Where else could I find a person who thinks a show/book/yaoi/... with incest is fluffy and cute? We're all a bunch of freaks, aren't we? *beams*

Date: 2006-07-16 08:08 pm (UTC)Dude, Domino Day is totally awesome and people just don't understand - I love Gus for his own love for Spelling Bee but still! In the hierarchy of Utter Dorkness, he ranked higher. And that has to be good for us, right? lol
Hee you're right, we're a bunch of freaks but seriously, if you've seen the yaoi I mentioned, you'd refer to it as 'fluffy and cute' too, I'm sure :-)
