castalieUpdating from work; I truly feel comfortable now, don't I? Or it might have to do with all the contracts that refuse to cooperate and thus are making this afternoon workload pretty annoying. So I'm taking a preemptive break. My equivalent of 'fag break' - I don't smoke, granted, but I do have an addiction of the livejournal kind so it's the same thing.
Speaking of getting comfortable at work; I've made my desktop my own, finally. Jensen desktop, toolbar on the side, soothing colours; I can now work properly :-) I'll see about organising the icons later *nods* Oh and when I turn the computer off, Dean and Sam are there to say goodbye, melikey *g*
My Cellie was like 'hey who's that guy? He's pretty.' Dude, yes, he is. Incidentally, things are going well with her, so it's another thing to be happy about.
Unrelated now, I've seen a meme that I thought was pretty nice since it's about pimping the favourite fics among those you've written. Which is always nice, imho, especially considering how it sometimes feels like you're supposed to dislike your own fics. I never understood that one...
So okay my Five Favourite Stories:
The Sentinel - Jim/Blair
Even Trade. Actually I'm thinking the whole series as a 'favourite fic' because I have so much love for that 'verse! Each time I visit it again I feel a sort of energy and I just have the time of my life writing those AU!Blair&Jim. It's also a theme I've been wanting to write forever - the whole prostitute!Blair angle with a twist, and the 'verse ended being exactly what I wanted, so that series is really dear to my heart. I'm listing Even Trade because it tells the story of the beginning of it all... Since I had to pick one, you know?
Solace. Because I really enjoy the atmosphere I succeeded in creating.
Supernatural - Sam/Dean
Our Darkest Sky Wide Open because I've been meaning to write that story for a long time and when it comes along nicely, it always makes you feel real good. And because I loved the idea of Dean slowly losing his soul and Sam refusing to accept that he could lose his brother.
Numb3rs - Don/Charlie
A Different World. It was my second N3 fic and I loved how it went. I talked about Don and Charlie's lives from childhood to adulthood and it was a wonderful ride.
Heroes - Mohinder/Peter
Ripples in the Pond. It's my one and only Heroes fic and I have a lot of love for that one because I had this clear image of what I wanted, plot and atmosphere wise and, again, I got what I wanted and it's always a wonderful feeling when you achieve that. I wanted a story that was both a bit dark but hopeful with a certain tenderness and that's what I see when I read that story.
Something I'd love now? For the muse to whisper some TBD bunnies to me. Man, I'd love to write something for that show *nudges muse*
Okay so I started writing this at 1.35pm and it's now 4.50pm, which means the day is almost over and I'll go home soon \o/ I have "God is a Comedian" waiting for me and Heroes that I still haven't seen. I can't wait! *bounces*
