Oz Fest

You remember how good it feels when you're discovering a new fandom, don't you? If you're lucky enough, you start with a great archive, and then... it's just like being in slash heaven --or any other kind of heaven, of course. Remember how *good* it is, then?

Well, that's what I'm feeling right now! tobyfan recced an Oz archive, and oh goodie it's just awesome! I donwloaded around 5Mo of Keller/Beecher fics, and it's only the beginning! This is pretty exciting... all those stories to read, a whole new fan world to discover. I just love that! I can't wait to immerse myself in K/B!! *bouncy*

On another subject, scorching heat is back, has been for several days. Kinda suffocating, we don't have fresh air anymore. Can't sleep at night, not a nice feeling.

You've just discovered the Oz and Toby and Chris? Wow, that's great. I have to say that I especially love all the AUs in the Oz fandom. And I have a thing for crossovers when a Toby character pops into Law&Order:SVU to slash with Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni's character). Have fun.

Well, yes and no. I already knew about the show before it was even aired in France --although on public channel we only had the first season, so no B/K *pout*-- and I knew about the pairing via internet, a fan mailed me with *lots* of canon descriptions of their relationship and she recced the archive I was talking about, so I'm really getting into it right now *g*

And yeah, the kind of AU you talked about must be fun. Do you have some fics to rec? *g*

Oh yeah. I remember. The rush of seeing a new archive. All those fics to read. Staying up until the early hours. Perfect!

But none have been as good as seeing 852 the first time!

And yes, the heat. It's damn hot and the only person I can whine to is you because when I tell my other friends. In the States etc they all lol and tell me 'that's not hot' 39 is hot *g*

But I'm hot, and you feel all stuffy headed with lack of deep sleep...sigh.

My eyeballs almost fell out of my head when I found 852! I had only found the gen archives before that, and I was scratching my head, wondering where all the slash fic was.

I know exactly what you mean! Then I bet you sat up for hours trying to read story after story. I did, it didn't matter if they were good or not, I just read them anyway *g*

I still think 852 is *the* best archive out there.

When I first started reading TS, I immediately found 852 Prospect, and I couldn't believe my eyes!! It was a complete dream, a slasher heaven, exactly!

Yeah, exactly, the rush, the excitement...I love discovering a new worthy fandom *g*

And of course 852 Prospect is the best ever *glassy eyes at the mention of the archive*

Oh please, don't tell me about the heat... it's getting to the point where we don't want to leave the house unless we *have* to, and even inside it's still almost unbearable, we're sweaty and sticky all the time. Today the temp was more than 40° --and it's not even under the sun! My sis put the thermometer on the table in the garden, in plain heat so to speak, and it reached 50°!!
