Before Friday, the last time I'd gone to the cinema was months ago, ie months. I apparently quite made up for it because in the course of the last three days, I went to the cinema three times :-)
Friday night, my cousin came over and we went to see Ootp, which I absolutely loved! Also, watching the film after having read book 7 is quite the experience. I'm hoping to go and see it again, in English this time. Then on Saturday La Globule and I joined The Esu and we went to see The Simpsons. Man, we laughed our asses off - incidentally we adopted the Spider Cochon song and made it our new personal hymn. It was really awesome because the four of us are big Simpson fans so I really enjoyed us going together. And today I went with
moimoietmoi to see The Invisible - finally an English version in the midst of all those French ones - which I really enjoyed too. I wanted to download the film but - ironically enough - I could only find the French version, which isn't what I'm looking for.
Oh and little!Sammy Winchester plays in the film! I was like 'I know that kid, I know that k- OH that's LIL SAMMY!'
Speaking of things I've seen; I've caught up with the last two episodes of Kyle XY and the ending of "Does Kyle Dream of Electric Fish" made me go "noooo wtf, man!" and I can't wait to see where this is going. As for "Free To Be You and Me", it rocked and I love Kyle XY for being openly, canonically gay friendly ♥
Next in line will be Pushing Daisies because I just know I'm gonna love it and I see that people in the flist are already falling in love with it and I can't wait! *bounces*
Lastly, some time ago
darkfan tagged me for one of those music meme and I've finally come around to do it so here are some of my Favourite Songs: Tears Dry On Their Own - Amy Winehouse | Brothers on a Hotel Bed - Death Cab for Cutie | Madeleine Bas-de-Laine - Tété | Half an Acre - Hem | How to Save a Life - The Fray | Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? - Fall Out Boy | Everything - Lifehouse | Breathe Me - Sia | YSI links.
Something I really, really want? Is to write a fic and use one of FOB lyrics as a title. Each time I listen to their songs I tell myself this sentence or that one would make for a brilliant title... I'll see about that. One of these days. Seeing I'd kinda need a fic to go with aforementioned title, that could take some time *cough*

Date: 2007-07-29 08:04 pm (UTC)Harry Potter kicked ass, I always loved the movies, and how faithful they are of the books (I'm still at page 44 of HP 7, but I'll finish it, I swear XD)
I went to see The Simpsons, Friday night. Spider cochon, I was actually crying during that scene, so funny. I always loved The Simpsons, and I was so glad that the movie turned out really well :D
I need to see The Invisible, I stumble upon the trailer on a website and I found the story appealing, but I want to see that one in English, and if you couldn't find it, I don't think I will either :/
The ending of "Does Kyle Dream of Electric Fish" made me go "noooo wtf, man!" and I can't wait to see where this is going.
Exactly what I thought o_o

This guy is so damn cute, all the scene where he was anxious about having a date, made me so jolly :P
You answered to my meme YAY *hugs*
I have to be honest and tell you that I don't know an song you posted (besides the Fall Out Boy's one), so I'm downloading roght now ;D

We were fans of the Spider Cochon song even before we went to see the film, so when we saw the actual scene in context, it just made us laugh even more :-)
I have no idea why the torrents I found were French ones as opposed to English ones but I'm still looking. I'll let you know if I find the one we want. As for the film in theater, after only two weeks it was hell finding a cinema that was showing it. I guess it wasn't that big a success, eh? Still, I really like it myself.
Hope you'll enjoy some of those songs *g*

And, dude, Brothers on a Hotel Bed is linked with SPN for all eternity as far as I'm concerned *nods again*
Spider Pig!
Date: 2007-07-29 09:51 pm (UTC)Yay Spider Cochon!

And man, I finally watched Free To Be You and Me as a finish to my mini-marathon today and I LOVE this ep. I agree, the open, canonical gay friendliness is brilliant, it makes me love the show even more, but I gotta be honest, my favourite part was the ending scene with Kyle and Declan. So gay, Mosue, so, SO gay. ♥
Also, that is one fine song selection you got there. *nods*
PS: Did you get my Doctor Who package yet? I'm starting to get a bit worried and if it doesn't show up soon I'm gonna resend it.

Date: 2007-07-30 08:11 am (UTC)"Free to Be You and Me" was Of Teh Good, wasn't it? I have so much love for KXY for addressing that particular issue. And in such a sweet easy way too!
Thanks, glad you approve of the selection; you have great taste too, obviously :-)
PS: That's my fault! Til this morning I hadn't checked my mailbox in a couple of days. On my way out I did and there was a little note from Mr Postman telling me a parcel was waiting for me at the post office - seeing aforementioned parcel was too big for my new mailbox. So since it's on the way to the station I went there and the parcel is in my hands as we speak; thank you SO much!

*nods* It sent the right message and it wasn't done in that annoying "afterschool special" way, so it's doubly awesome.
And hee, no worries, I'm just relieved it got there alright. Have fun watching it. ♥

Date: 2007-08-01 01:25 pm (UTC)Love the songs you picked. The ones I know anyway. The Fray especially. We call it Moffet's song now. When we took her to be cremated we didn't want to listen to the radio, and the mix cd in the player was almost all FOB, apart from The Fray. We listened to that on repeat both ways.
Which wow, is kind of a downer in a happy post.

Well, it's a good song to be associated with Moffet; even if the circumstance wasn't a joyous one *hugs*
