Flist! If you haven't done it yet, you have to watch the premiere of Pushing Daisies, you have to! Even if you end up not liking it - omg why wouldn't you like it, why? - at least you'll have tried and it'll make me happy.

This is gonna be my New Favourite Show - as in, one more show to add to the loooong list of my Favourite Shows. I mean, if you've been on my flist for more than, say, an hour? You'll have realised that I don't believe in 'replacing shows', only in 'adding shows'; well, Pushing Daisies is the newest one.

That first episode got me, hook line and sinker. It's... it's magical, is what it is. Magical and funny and sweet and sad and adorable and just so different from what we usually get on tv. I'm utterly charmed.

Ned is adorable, Chuck is made of awesome, as is Emerson, and Pink & Flower Mural Lady cracks me up. As do Chuck's aunts. Oh! And I love Mr Narrator too! *has mucho love for the whole thing*

Also a comment. So. Chuck's father died because Ned resurrected his mother, which is already awful enough, especially considering she dies for good, in the end but, okay, she got her first taste of death because Ned resurrected a fly? That, right here, is so fucked up and so brilliant all rolled into one, wow! [ETA: Ok so after watching the ep again, I don't think it happened because of the fly. If it had, then Ned's Mother would have died the minute after he'd brought the fly back to life, right? And it was longer than that, apparently. Oh, well, never mind - the whole thing is still brilliant, anyway *g*]

I don't know how I'm gonna wait til the show premieres for real now *wide eyes* Incidentally, I need to find myself a PD icon *nods*

And I've also watched the latest Kyle XY and Kyle got his first kiss! Awwww!

And! I've watched the last three episodes of Doctor Who and John Simm owns my soul! Which, dude, I didn't wait DW to tell me how brilliant the man is; hi, Life on Mars fangirl here *waves* but, still, he was absolutely fantastic in this new role of his ♥ ♥

As for Pushing Daisies, I so don't think it's cheesy - obviously :-) - as for boring, I think we don't have the same definition of the word *shakes head*

I love Kyle. He and Amanda are actually kind of cute, although I think he and Declan are soulmates. Although, as much as I love the show, if they shill for Sour Patch Kids even one more time, I might be forced to throw something at the screen!

I love shows with all the pretty boys- Smallville, Supernatural, Kyle XY, anything by Joss Whedon, etc. And I really do like Kyle with Amanda. I like that she's a genuinely nice person, and she and Kyle are really sweet together. But I think he has more chemistry with Declan, though.

During the second and third seasons of Smallville, we used to call the character of Pete, "Product Placement Pete", because it seemed like he was shilling for every product you could think of. I think Kyle XY is more than catching up, though.

I read this post yesterday and then I had a dream about Pushing Daisies last night and I loved it (though I suspect it was a lot more gay in my dream than it really is, but things usually are), so now I think I kind of have to watch it. ;)

Awwww is about right, yeah. Our boy is growing up so fast! It seems like it was just yesterday when he was learning how to quench hunger. :D

J'ai vu Pushing daisies ya qques temps, et même si j'ai trouvé ça sympa, je pense pas que je continuerais à regarder. Je regarde déjà trop de choses alors parfois faut bien faire un tri.
Je sais pas, j'ai pas ressenti le besoin de savoir la suite après la fin de l'épisode.

Ce qui est rigolo c'est qu'il y a la même atmosphère que dans Amelie Poulain, un peu magique, un peu farfelue, un peu inquiétante parfois. Même la musique y ressemble.
Et même si j'adore Amelie Poulain, ma première réaction a été: ça sent le réchauffé!

Moi j'ai vraiment hâte que la série commence officiellement parce que je suis à 100% sous son charme. A vrai dire, je suis peut-être un peu anxieuse parce que j'espère vraiment que le reste de la série sera à la hauteur de ce pilote. Enfin on verra bien *g*

Et oui, j'ai tout de suite pensé à Amélie Poulain aussi, ce que j'ai adoré aussi, je dois dire. Beaucoup de gens parlent aussi de Big Fish - je crois, je me souviens jamais du nom de ce film - mais comme je l'ai pas vu, je peux pas dire.

Enfin tout ça pour dire, ça m'a du tout rebuté, la comparaison, bien au contraire *g*
