So apparently today is the most depressing day of the year, aka Blue Monday and it made me smile because a professor reached that verdict by using 'mathematical equations' and of course my first thought was 'hey, I wonder what Charlie would say about this' then I read babycakesin's entry and learnt that l'Abbé Pierre had passed away this morning and it really pained me. Even knowing he wasn't immortal and that he was an old man, it was still a bit of a shock. He was just one of those wonderful persons who lived for others and fought for them and you feel sadden when they're gone even though you didn't know them. But, see, he was extremely popular here - and, really, when someone like l'Abbé Pierre dies, it's always an immense loss.

And now, without any disrespect meant, I'll quite egotistically talk about what I've been up to today - which pretty much amounts to nothing. I haven't even set a foot outside - and, btw, winter is finally here, damn is it cold, we must have lost between, what, ten-fourteen degrees in a couple of days? - and I've just read and snuggled in bed and watched several episodes of Gilmore Girls. Thanks to greedy_dancer I have around three seasons to watch, I think. I still can't come to terms with how enamoured I am with SamDean. Makes me smile each time I squee when I see his baby face.

I'm making a break now and I'll switch to Psych first and then The Dresden Files. Or maybe the other way around. In any case, I'll keep with the tv watching *nods*

I didn't know about Blue Monday, but considering what happened yesterday... One weird thing about yesterday: I checked Wikipedia at 11 a.m. for his bio - his death had already recorded. People can be very efficient...
