Quietest New Year Eve ever! Went grocery shopping with Mom and, wow, it's like the whole city was in there! We still managed to find what we wanted, though - we had most of the meal already bought but we were missing some essentials - so it was worth it. We went home, cooked together - cooking is an activity I love, especially when I'm doing it with the family - and then proceeded to stuff ourselves silly. We couldn't make it to dessert, we had to take a break :-)

Then it was midnight and Dad and I watched the telly while Mom read Deathly Hallows. They're now both in bed - I'm staying the night, btw - and did I say 'quietest NYE'? *g* I have to say I'm not a big fan of the crowded and hectic NY parties. It's just not my thing. Quiet is how I like it best. I'm so wild, eh? lol

So about those resolutions that we seldom keep. I've seen some people mention the resolution to get a job but I don't see it as a resolution myself... it's just a fact, or something. What I'd want now is for someone else to make the resolution to hire me. That would be brilliant :-)

There're a couple of things I'm hoping to do/get in 2008 but it's like with wishes, don't want to say the words, or else it won't happen *g*

Something I can say is that I'd like to read more books. I've barely made it to 30 this year... I was thinking of joining the 50bookchallenge community but I decided against it. Challenges and me, we're rarely on speaking terms so I'm not that sure it'd be a good idea. Plus, I thought it over and decided that, what the hell, I'll read as many books as I read, period. As long as I keep reading actual novels as opposed to just fics, it's fine by me *nods*

I'd love to write more fics, too, of course, but I say this each year, with more or less success so, again, I'll see how it goes.

Yeah, I guess I'm not really into resolutions, after all lol

One of these days we totally should have a New Year's Eve together; we would eat all kinds of yummy food and treat ourselves with as many shows as we can, both snuggled up on the couch. Dude, that's the best way to leave a year and welcome the next lol

Actually, I'm thinking of trying to add more bookshelves so that I can put the books in better categories than just 'read' or 'currently reading'. My only problem is that I'm not sure where to put the novels sometimes... guess I'll go and see what other GR users have to say. Or amazon for that matter.

C'est pas vraiment "indeed" qu'il fallait utiliser mais c'est pas grave lol je me rends compte de mes conneries un peu tard.
