Am watching Domino Day even though I know how it'll end. I was all excited at first because I thought that it might be a new 'episode' but then it just didn't make sense. Still, Domino Day is of the good so I had to watch again. I know [livejournal.com profile] sockich will second that. Also, YouTube agrees with us *points* Domino Day 2006 - part 1 and part 2 [/domino geekiness]

Oh, I've been bad, flist. I've watched the new Heroes promos. Worse yet, I didn't even feel shame - on the contrary, I squeed and totally rejoiced! Wanna be weak bad too? Be my guest: let's start with Hour 2 and then let's go to Hour 3.

So my plans for yesterday as well as for today didn't exactly work out. To compensate, I read Storm Front, the first book in the Dresden Files. So did I like it? Well, I finished it, for a start, and then, right in the middle of it, I made a detour to Amazon to order the next two books, so you tell me :-) Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden rules! I love him. And I'm quite interested in Murphy. And Bob cracks me up. I'm really glad I decided to give that series a go *g* First book of the year was a success \o/

A last random comment for the day - I haven't officially started my fic for the [livejournal.com profile] j2_otpathon but I've started writing down pieces of dialogues and it makes me happy because there's something there. Admittedly, I've had the two scenes that constitute the story in my mind for sometime now so it's not as if I was starting from scratch, but still. I just hope I'll be able to write it all down without wanting to kill someone :-)

I forgot to mention in your last post. I got the rest of the Dresden Files for Christmas, and I so love that series. Harry rocks.

That's a great start for your challenge, I mean, words and an idea. You're over that first hurdle.

I'm not surprised you're a fan too *g* And did you see? Sci-fi is gonna air the show! It premieres on January, 21th. I've seen the promo and I can't wait!

I did see!

I have to admit I'm excited to see how they portray the books. The ingredients are there for one heck of a series!

Well, from the promos I've seen, I think they're gonna do good. I quite like the way they're dealing with Harry's magic. In case you haven't seen the commercials? (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Dresden+Files&search=Search)

Oh and I've just received the two Dresden Files I'd ordered *bounces* Amazon is such a good little trooper. I need to finish Lost Souls that I started last night though - vampires, gay sex, incest... what a joy!

There should be no shame for watching the promos for Heroes. Of course, I'm mainly saying this 'cuz I watched them as soon as I came across them.

Be proud my dear friend. Be proud. *nods firmly*

Lol Yeah technically you're right, I should be proud and everything but, I kinda like my 100% spoiler-free policy, ya know? It makes watching the show so much more exciting somehow. But during a hiatus is different, you need to take your fix where you can... so hail to promos!

Oh I like that! Must blame the hiatus! Spoilerfree is totally the best tho. My Sam icon is not happy with me. ;)

I've read two Dresden novels by Butcher, but stopped in the middle of the third one. It just dragged on and on way too much. I'm used to a faster action, like in Spencer's Ukiah Oregon, Green's Nightside series or Briggs' Moon Called. And especially in the third book, Dresden is way too hypocritical for my liking, really. It's too bad because I hoped the books would be better :(

Oh that's too bad... well, I hope I won't feel the same way, then, cause I've enjoyed that first book and I'm hoping I'll enjoy the rest of the series in its entirety. Also, I'm quite impatient for the show to premiere and everything *g*

I love Domino Day events!! This was the disco-themed one, right? I've seen one on German TV recently, I think it was this one.

Another Domino Day lover, yay! Isn't it the best, eh? And it was the music-themed one, not just disco. It had pretty much every music genre, it was a sort of tribute to music.

Aha, I didn't watch it from the start so I probably missed out on some stuff. What I loved were those timed bricks with coloured sand in them!

They come up with such nifty ideas :))
