Today is a good day

Last week, a friend of mine who works at the Sorbonne called me to tell me that her head of department was looking for someone and that she'd given her my name, just in case. I thought it was awfully sweet of her to do so and I was hoping it would be sweet all the way, ie that I would hear from her Boss Lady soon. And she called today! I've got a job interview on Friday!

I'm not sure what the job is exactly, ie I don't know of all the details - well I do know something of extreme importance, namely that it has nothing to do with the job I had before, it's not even the same department at all, anyway - and it's not my Dream Job or anything but it sure beats a) unemployment and b) benefits - even though the pay is still crap - so if the interview goes well and she wants me, I'll say yes.

There's nothing better than the moment when you get a job interview; because everything is possible *g* I'll keep my fingers crossed now *fingers crossed*

And I also received a mail from 10th Planet telling me that they posted my confirmation letter for Asylum today ♥ ♥

All in all, many great news were received on this fine Wednesday :-) And now, to celebrate, I'm gonna watch the new New Amsterdam *nods*

I'll miss being a translator, but if it means I can have a regular paycheck, I think I'll totally go for it *nods*

Plus, I'll still be looking for something more interesting. And that pays better. Dude, they really suck at the whole salary thing, let me tell you. Though, hey, I did love working at the Sorbonne. Generally speaking. It was just my job at the financial service that was slowly driving me mad. Hopefully if I do get the job - big IF at the moment - it won't be anything like that *fingers crossed*
