Of SPN and Pénélope Jolicoeur
Aug. 26th, 2008 04:22 pmArgh! I just wrote an entry where I was waxing poetry about Pénélope Jolicoeur and it disappeared in the ether! I think the universe is trying to teach me a lesson about not writing entries at work.
...
You're not the boss of me, Universe! I'm totally going to write the entry again!
So. Very Important Question to whom it may concern: is there a difference between the UK version and the US version of the SPN s3 box set? Apart from the whole 'the UK version is already available, ha!' thing. And what I mean is, does the UK version have the extras? Cause I'd hate to buy it and not find the Extras of Love and Extreme Cuteness. That would make me cry. Hard. It wouldn't be a pretty sight at all!
And not related to anything but I was watching Something last night - something as in 'I-don't-remember-what-it-was' as opposed to 'I'm-too-ashamed-to-tell-you-what-it-was' - and there was this Marie commercial, which totally reminded me of Pénélope Bagieu's style. Then I was reading her blog and I was right, it's her work! I win at being one of her fans \o/
Her blog/comic is one I'd rec to the whole flist, except for how I wouldn't because if you don't speak French you'd miss out on the humour but there're many of those strips that would speak for themselves. Geeks all speak the same language, right?
The French Posse is quite smitten with Pénélope Jolicoeur - her character - because we share some character traits. Also, I could totally see that girl on LJ.
Pénélope is addicted to her computer and her iPod. She can't function without coffee - incidentally, she's a Starbucks fan. She loves to eat junk food while complaining sometimes about having curves while criticising fashion's message that you have to be thin to be pretty. She's really talkative. She hates cleaning and can be quite disorganised. She loves playing video games and is into tv series. She works but often has money problem and is often seen trying to bribe her banker into helping her out. She's stressed out and can be annoying and a bit snobbish but she's always endearing in her geekery and dorkery.

Yeah but do you know for sure, then? Or would there be a possibility that this time they did include the extras?
Technically I always prefer R2 to R1, so I'd like to buy it from the UK. Except, totally not if there's no extras, of course.
