Okay, first things first :
Forza Italiaaaaaaaaaa
I know, I'm French, but don't forget we're 50%French and 50%Italian in my family --which explains my inner drama queen btw-- so I'm for both teams.
You should see my sister and my cousin tonight. They're both watching the game downstairs --I'm watching it upstairs obviously-- one with the Italian shirt and the other the French uniform. Yeah, well Julien is from the French side of the family so he only has the French outfit, but since it's blue, we let him go away with it lol
I spent the whole day at my grand-dad, then both sis and cous' joined me. Still, I was alone from 11.45 am to 5.30 pm, and with my grand-dad sleeping all the time and being quite unresponsive when he doesn't sleep, I had time to read my book, The Depths of Solitude.
It's official, I can't really consider Jo Bannister's series as suspense and crime books per se because I always find who the culprit is early in the book, so I guess we're actually meant to know who it is to focus on other things --like the character dynamics-- otherwise, there's something missing, really. We learnt about Daniel's past, and I love the man even more now - angst rocks my world, and here one hell of a damaged character *eg* Did I say he was one of the best character ever? Because he is! He astounds me each time I read a new part of this series, he's just... fascinating!
Daniel Hood, I love ya!!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeep! We scoooooooooooored!! YAY!
ETA Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why oh WHY!
ETA2 Dammit! What about our qualification, man! Think of the qualification!

*huge hugs*
Enjoy the match ;)

Date: 2004-06-18 01:45 pm (UTC)Hmm well, we'll say that since I got myself you-know-what this morning, I could allow myself not to do a reference in this post *nods*
Yeah, definitely sucks - such is life though, right? *hugs back*
I did - until those stupid and brilliant Swedish players decided to get even with us! The nerves! Now, there's a chance Italy won't even make it to the 1/4!

Date: 2004-06-18 04:52 pm (UTC)I'm a big fan of this series too. The Depths was supposed to be out in May here, but now they're saying November, bastards. So I guess I'll just have to live vicariously. Besides, I've already been spoiled, willingly, by the gals over on SG1HC and Alphagate.

Don't answer that, please.
Lol Okay yeah, anyway. Back to Jo Bannister. I don't think the series was even translated here - thank God for amazon.uk *and* for best friends who know the best presents to give me for my bday *g*
Okay since you've been spoiled, you know there's a Sam involved in the story - well, it's mentioned anyway. It cracks me up! What were the odds that we would find a book where two of the main characters are called Jack and Daniel, and another Sam, even if from afar? lol

Date: 2004-06-21 07:35 am (UTC)I can't wait to read the latest book and learn all about Daniel and Sam.

Date: 2004-06-18 06:54 pm (UTC)And about the result of Italy-Sweden... well... after that France-Croatia, I dare say that even scores are beginning to bug me!
I don't know about you, but I would really, really like a France-Italy finale! (screw you, I'd still support France then *g*)

Date: 2004-06-18 11:51 pm (UTC)Okay, ush! lol
At this point, I'd just like to see quarters of finale with Italy - that's all I'm asking right now *sigh*

Date: 2004-06-19 03:41 am (UTC)Yeah, but no Italy v. France in the quarter finales please, otherwise there's going to be some sad people on my flist *checks UEFA website* oh, okay, there's no chance France plays Italy in the quarter finale *relieved*... And not even in the semi finale - woohoo! *does Snoopy dance* Go France! Go Italy!

Date: 2004-06-18 11:31 pm (UTC)I AM DISPLEASED :O
(WHY did Trappatoni replace both Cassano and Del Piero? They were at their fucking best! You know, it's kind of amusing to me to see Italy play so well now that Totti wasn't part of the team, hahahaha. I love Totti, but the man's got an ego larger than the Pacific Ocean.)
Meh. If Sweden and Denmark draw during their match, Italy can go home. I think it's over for them :|
(Also, I am watching QaF and Brian = pretty. This is not news, but I thought I'd say it anyway :D :D :D.)

Date: 2004-06-18 11:55 pm (UTC)And it's not as if Italy didn't have wonderful opportunities! Each time the ball did miss the goal, we had to blink at the screen because we couldn't believe it! *sigh*
Argh!
(Oh and you can say it anytime, girl! lol)
