Know one of the reasons why I love Monday mornings now? Apart from the fact that being on vacation, I don't have to leave for the uni and all? It's because my flist is full of QAF reviews *g* All around, they're just everywhere. Isn't that sweet?
I'm waiting for 410 to be uploaded at
paddies's site myself - anticipation is half the pleasure and all that *g* I never remember when I usually get to see it, but isn't it by Tuesday? Anyway, I can wait, I love waiting anyway *nodnod*
Oh btw, wanna see something my Babycakes did for me? It's priceless :

Yeah - no need to say, technically, this icon wouldn't be appropriate for this entry lol
A last QAF thought - for this post, I mean. I was watching it last night, and something else I absolutely adore in this show? The character laugh all the time. No, it's just not a detail. On TV shows, characters usually never really laugh, and almost never burst into laughters. And when they do laugh, it seems as if they did on cue - it seems forced somehow.
And I'm not saying it's always the case either - in Friends for instance, the characters laugh a lot, because of the absurd situation they are in, or because one of them said or did something, but they do it naturally - I mean, that's how I see it, your opinion may differ.
Well, it's the same in QAF. They do it like we would IRL - doesn't seem forced, doesn't seem formatted. And I'm not biased, but Michael is the king. I love seeing him laugh - well okay, all of them, but Mikey specially. Though wait, when Brian laughs it's really nice too - in particular since he's so cool looking all the time, know what I mean?
Anyway, I just love that detail in QAF, period *g*
Hey, it seems some dark writers are hitting 852 Prospect these days. Nice *g* I'll have to check the last stories to see if I can find something interesting. Some of the warnings I'm seeing really appeal to me, I have to admit *eg*
ETA: Well, at least I liked the warnings *sigh*

Date: 2004-06-21 02:41 am (UTC)And now that you said it, it's true about them laughind. It's always wonderful to see them laugh. And Mikey especially. Maybe because Hal Sparks is really a comedian, that's why maybe laughter is more the perfect state of being with him, rather than all the drama that Michale has to go through.

Date: 2004-06-21 03:49 am (UTC)I really don't know what to think about the whole Linds/Sam thing. I mean, considering the drama after Mel cheated on her, you would think Linds would at least think before doing it herself? Things were going badly in their couple at the time, but as I see it, there's nothing really explaining her behaviour here. I just don't know. We'll see what those two decide to do - or those three since Melanie will unwillingly be dragged into it.
And you see it too? I'm not a freak then lol Sometimes I surprise myself rewinding those scenes with Michael laughing because damn - it's good to see and hear *g* And you're right, Hal Sparks being a comedian may have something to do with it, from his POV *g*
Great icon, btw *g*

Well, I just read the very last story, and there was something really missing in it. I mean, it's a pity really because it had everything in it to please me : Kincaid kidnaps Blair and makes him his sex slave, so there're rapes and humiliation and brainwashing and everything, then Jim comes to the rescue of course and saves him. But, to me, it was badly written. I mean, come on, Blair enjoys his rape - and not in a his-body-reacted-to-a-stimuli like --unfortunately-- it can happen in RL, no the first time it happens, he actually spreads his legs wider and encourages Kincaid to fucki him, whimpering and yelling for him to get it on - I mean, no, just no. Then at one point, it's like the second rape, he says something like "okay so the first rape he enjoyed but this second one he didn't because it was pretty one-sided" - huh we're talking about rape, here, show some respect.
Then apparently, he gets unresponsive and right after he's been saved, Jim fucks him and he 'wakes' up and all ends well... Though at this point I was just scanning the fic and not reading it, so I may be wrong.
Anyway, I'm not one to tear a story to bits - let's just say it didn't work for me for the reasons I explained, I didn't like how it was written, and let's others enjoy it. To each their own *g*

Date: 2004-06-21 07:25 am (UTC)As for fucking making things better! That's one of my biggest pet peeves right there. It doesn't. It can't. I get bloody furious that anyone suggests it can.
Thanks sis, I won't be checking that one out, which is a shame as it could have been fantastic.
