My Monday in Pictures

It had to happen, angeliksmall and I were back at work yesterday. It could have been traumatising after two blissful weeks of holidays if not for the weather offering us a belated Christmas present in the form of... SNOW! It finally snowed a) enough that it stuck to the ground and b) when I was there to see it. It made me insanely happy :-) I was even happier that it actually snowed all day. So in the morning, on my way to work this is what I could see :





Then for lunchbreak Cookie and I went to Bercy Village, where they have a park. Sadly the park was closed - for security reasons so maybe not 'sadly' - but we could still take some pics :









We also had our our first Starbucks of the year :



After work, we decided to go to St Michel, where I took a couple of pics. They're not the best but they'll do because it's a bit of snowy Paris and that could never not be pretty, anyway :









And! Before any meanies decide to mock us for being so happy to have such ridiculous little amount of snow, bear in mind that Paris and its suburb aren't the Alps or Canada or Russia etc. We have to be happy with what we have. Whenever we have it. So plz not to be mocking us :-) Plus, there's always less snow in Paris than in its outskirt so it was awesome that there was any, really. And today it's still all white because we're having minus temperatures so it hasn't melted yet *iz happy*

Oh! And morgan32? The SPN magazines arrived yesterday! Such prettiness of the glossy page persuasion with so many lovely details about the show etc., wow! Thank you again for letting me adopt your copies *kisses* Cookie have been ogling them all night yesterday. Well, when she wasn't busy drooling reading her brand new Batman comics, that is ;-)

We've had a cold winter like we haven't had in many years! There's a city in the south which got so much snow last week that people were skiing in the street... last time they even saw a single snowflake? Was twenty-five years ago. Quite impressive :-)

It sounds like you have more snow than I do...not that I'm complaining. The weather reports claim Wales is all over snow, but they are liars! My sheltered little corner of Wales is snow-free.

We've been having a lot of snow all around France; it hasn't snowed again in Ile-de-France but the snow I/we got last Monday still hasn't completely cleared, which makes me happy still :-) We've had minus temperature all week long, which is why. Today is a bit warmer - 1°C for now - and sunny so it might disappear soon. Still, a whole week of white city! That was great :-)

Ah, Paris. *loves it, despite the snow - brrr!* I like the first photo too, snowflakes look so funny but cute in photos. :)

We don't have snow at all, but it's so very cold here: -1° (which would be okay), with a windchill of... -11° (which is so not okay! *shivers for reals*)

The snow still hasn't completely cleared, even after a whole week! I think today is the beginning of the end for it - it's 1°C+ for now and it's sunny - but I still had a whole week of white city, so I'm definitely happy :-)

Still no snow where you are, btw? Some of our cities got snow for the first time since twenty years here. Cold winter it is!

Oh, yes, I think I briefly posted about it (meant to, in any case...) - we've had two days of snow!

The first day it was really pretty, the second time, er, I missed it because of weird sleeping patterns. Sadly now it's already turned into sleet and slippery bits, and it seems very persistent - no wonder considering the below zero temperatures we're having...

Quite often when I'm strolling the streets of Paris I regret not having my camera with me by default. I'm glad I decided to tak said camera last week! I knew it'd make me very sad if I didn't. I was right, too :-)

That's what I was gonna say : it's crazy to see so few snow in Paris while 20 minutes from there, where I live there is so much more. But it's true that for the snow to stay in Paris (thanks the pollution) it was very cold. Your pics are really great. I love them. Have a good day.

I couldn't wait to be back in the suburb to get more snow because we always have more than in Paris, but it was surprising to see the snow keep in Paris nonetheless.

Et la neige n'a toujours pas complètement fondu ! Il a peut-être pas neigé beaucoup mais avec les températures négatives qu'on a eues toute la semaine, elle est restée, donc moi très contente :-)

Cookie and I thought about it and thought it wasn't that stupid an idea, after all : y a beaucoup de points d'eau dans ce parc, d'ici à ce que quelqu'un glisse, y a pas des kilomètres... I think that's why they closed it.

We didn't get that much snow here - though in other places they've been drowning in it - but with the minus temperature we've had all week, it hasn't cleared all yet so I'm okay with the little amount we got :-)
