Jan. 9th, 2009 05:32 pmOh boy do I feel like crap! I have a flu-like cold and it's been killing me for the last 24hours. Started with an annoying cough on yesterday morning, then my back and neck started to hurt - I even pulled a Jim Ellison when my clothes started to feel uncomfortable on my skin - and last night I was dead. I turned into a sad and pathetic lump on the couch all evening, hidden under four blankets, hood pulled up, the whole she-bang.
Only good point?
angeliksmall was home with me and she totally played nurse and tucked me in and gave me my medicine and just coddled me and it was great :-) I always say that living on your own does have a disavantage, ie when you're sick, no-one is there to take care of you but this time I had someone to fuss over me \o/
This morning I almost bailed out of work but I was a warrior and went. Thing is, Cookie and I had a Mac training - a class on the use of Mac - and since our co-worker J. had really made a lot of effort to include us both in said class, I didn't want to let him down. So I doped myself with painkillers and syrup and whatnot and went.
And I'm so happy I did because the class was really interesting. Mac sounds so cool. When the guy introduced Spotlight to us, I thought it was lovely. Then he showed us Time Machine and insta love! Then he played with Keynote and Numbers and, yeah, I was a little bit sold. I was already thinking of maybe buying a Mac laptop in the next months but after that class, I'm more than determined to save money and get one. Of course I want to buy a Wii before, so it'll take longer but whatever! I can be patient.
Though not always patient as it's now 5.30 PM and I want.to.go.home! But work doesn't want to let me go! H.E.L.P!
