castalieWorking part-time this week is absolutely lovely! Mornings fly by and the (free)afternoons are lovely long. This week I went to see 9 and Ice Age 3. I enjoyed both. And I love how empty the theater is in the early afternoon!
I also spent some time doing the Top Five meme - and I do mean 'spent some time'. But there are links to find and pictures to pick and thoughts to gather and, yeah.

1. The "I want Dean to have a home" line in "Salvation"
2. The confrontation between YED!John and the boys in the cabin at the end of "Devil's Trap", specifically that moment when YED!John gets so close to Dean that I thought they were going to kiss. That scene is so disturbingly hot, I still haven't recovered!
3. When Dean calls John on the phone in "Home"
4. Dean hugging Sam in the second part of AHBL2
5. The scene at the end of AHBL2 when Dean looks at Sam and says "check that off the to do list"

Top five FP memories! That's a tough one because, just at the top off my head, without really thinking about it, I can cite more than five. But ok, let's try to make a selection :
1. The first time I metgreedy_dancer. We went to the Parisian Pride together and danced and squeed together. Then when it was over, we had a little drink - it was so hot that day - in a little café then went back to St Michel where we talked some more at the Cluny park. We scared away the guy who was sitting right behind me. It's still a very fond memory :-)
2. That first time I metmoimoietmoi and french_hobbit. The other two girls who were present at the time had left, as well as Sam. Rosie and I had decided to go and have a drink together to end the day, when Sam decided to join us again. We went to Starbucks - it's really funny to think about it because at the time I'd just discovered Starbucks and I knew there was one around St Michel but I had to call my friend Rissy to tell me where it was exactly. There was only one in the vicinity at the time, ie Odéon. There are four in the same neighbourhood now. We stayed till we were the very last customers and only left because they were closing. It was awesome :-)
3. That weekend the six of us (moimoietmoi, greedy_dancer, babycakesin, crazybutsound french_hobbit and me) were together. It's not an easy feat having the whole FP at the same place at the same time but we did manage and it was fantastic.
4. I don't suppose they'll remember that one; a quiet afternoon spent together, with a little trip to the cinema, after my grand-father's funeral. I think we went to see Serenity - though I'm not 100% sure but, anyway, while we were exchanging mails to try and decide which film to see, a second option was offered. Except, I really wanted to see the first film and, usually, the majority wins, right? But you know how it is in times like these, it's like you get stuck on one idea and nothing else works, and so I knew I wouldn't go out to see Option B if it was the one that won the votes. And instead of going for that one, they changed their minds and we went to see Option A film. I remember I was the first to arrive and I was all... melancholy and they arrived and just made things better.
5. My 30th birthday! So, ok, technically I didn't stay a lot with them - there were so many people and I kept going from one person to another, but I loved that they were with me. Rosie and Jem even came from Lyon to be part of it and that made me very happy :-)

Top five Christmas memories:
1. Last year, as it was Chiara's first Christmas.
2. The Christmas I got my white bike when I was nine or ten - it was too big to be wrapped so they just put this old blanket over it and I remember looking at the bike-shaped blanket and hoping it was for me - it was too small to be for the adults and too big to be for my sister or my cousins so of course it was for me but I still wondered - and then they took the blanket off and just, wow. The bike was gorgeous! White and shiny and 'big' and I had to try it right away in my grand-parents' garden, even though it was past midnight. So we put on our coats and I biked a little and the bike was just a tiny bit too big but I didn't care and it made me insanely happy *g*
3. That time between 9.00 PM and midnight, when my sister and cousins were in our room and waiting for le Père Noël to bring us our gifts, the excitment was so big we were vibrating.
4. That moment when the grown-ups came to the room at midnight to tell us it was time.
5. The time before dinner when the whole of us (grand-parents back then, parents and us kids ) prepare dinner together, we divide in groups and cook and make the whole thing.
III. Top five shows that I don't like while everybody else is totally bonkers about them forkatikat.

5. I'm drawing a blank. I used to have Bones here but now I love it so I'm all confused!
IV. Another series of top five, forturps33: top 5 AMs (Abused Males, for those not in the know - yes, we have our term for those boys that get hurt all the time in fics, because we're awesome like that \o/ And because I love giving names to, well, everything), h/c stories and kinky sex positions. Top 5 AMs - I'm gonna go on a little trip down memory lane here:
1. Fox Mulder. Here's a canon AM! One of the reasons why I loved XF so much back in the day was that Mulder got beaten pretty much all the time! I lapped it up completely.
2. Face in The A-Team slash. Poor guy just never got a break.
3. Blair Sandburg. He was made to suffer. And be comforted by Jim afterwards.
4. Now onto more recent shows/fandoms. Dean Winchester. Duh! The man hurts so prettily, there's just no way those baddies wouldn't want to rough him up. And, hey, there's also a reason why evil!Sam is so popular.
5. Methos! The guy got tortured so much that they would kill him sometimes! Only for him to revive again to be tortured all over again, woot!
And I'm just talking about the physical torture, but the mental and psychological one? Might be even more delicious somehow. Yes, in a complete twisted and dark way. I'm not completely psycho!

Quite often, my favourite h/c stories are of the 'fucked-up!character A ends up a little less fucked-up at the end of story thanks to character B' persuasion. Aww, no NCIS, SGA or Leverage? :-( Though I do see why NCIS and SGA wouldn't appeal to everyone. When it comes down to it, I don't watch NCIS for the plot. Now that I think about it, I didn't watch SGA so much for the plot, either. ::laughs:: And heh, oh Smallville. Sometimes it's pretty good, other times not so much. I tend to watch a few episodes then drop it, over and over again. ;-)
And lastly, I have one thing to say about the kinky positions. There is not enough DP in fic!
