Of RL and Rare fandoms/pairings

Yes! See Mouse posting and being able to comment on her last entries *beaming* I was one of LJ maintenance latest victims - yes, I'm on the Indigo cluster. I'd been put on Read-Only restriction.

I know how to do dramatic quite well, don't I? lol

I don't even like the name of my cluster - why can't I be on the Madcow one or even better yet the Chef one? I'd feel of Sentineley each time they'd mention it since in the French version Jim calls Blair Grand Chef. But no, Indigo it is - though okay, this colour has nice symbolism and everything but still... Also, how long can two hours really last? *sigh* I wanna play with the shiny comments on my entries *pout* [A/N: Can you tell I started this entry when I was still in Read-Only mode? lol]

So today is July, 14th, aka Bastille Day for you *g* And how cute is that, even Google celebrated it in its own way *g*

I watched the défilé du 14 Juillet aka military parade on the telly this morning - one of these days I'll go to les Champs Elysées and I'll watch it 'in the flesh' but it wasn't for this year yet *g* I remember when I worked at the Disney Store on the Champs, I was working on the 14th --some stores just never close-- and I was in the basement doing my things when it was the tanks' turn to parade - the walls suddenly started to vibrate all around, it was damn impressive. Not as impressive as seeing the défilé for real, mind *g* I really love it. Also this year was special for we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Cordial Entente so British units participated too, like the Queen's Company of the Grenadier Guards and the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery... Lovely indeed *g* Btw, I felt sorry for the guy who fell off his horse but I think it was the helicopters' fault - they should have waited a bit more to take off.

Now for fannish stuff.

Last night I suddenly had a craving for my favourite rare fandom and I cruised the Slash Database Project archive for Simon & Simon fics - don't ask, I just wanted to read Rick and A.J stories. And yes, both slash and gen btw - love me some incestey pairings *cough*

It suddenly reminded me of this pairing I dream of reading but never ever found. It may be a bit obscure --I know for sure that at least two people on my flist will get the reference but as for the rest...-- but do some of you remember Players? I dream of reading some Ice/Charlie slash - or hey why not Ice/Charlie/Alphonse? I mean, the guys went to prison together --and considering Charlie's character, my mind usually go to very dirty and naughty places with that piece of information-- then they worked together and even ended up living together! Oh the possibilities! And despite of all of this, I never found anything related to that show. I don't even know how it's possible. It usually means bad things when you can't even the fandom at aforementioned Slash Database Project. I even had a plot bunny viciously attacking me ages ago but I never did anything with it...

If you have a rare fandom and/or rare pairing - and if you do, you can share I'll feel less lonely, you understand how sad it is *sigh*

And now, I'm going back to the oh-so-not-rare SG fandom for some lovely threesomes - talking with artifuss about Private Little World made me want to read it again lol I do believe in OTPs but it never stops me from trying different combinations from time to time *nodnod*

Thanks *g* Thanks again lol Well I can't really seee DeexRyo as rare because you sure find stuff about them on-line... and well, with everything that happened the past month, I almost lost my desire to go - and considering we're talking about Crete, believe me it's saying something because I was dying to go *g* Hey, next time *g* Some things are more important than a to-die-for trip lol

Hey you're right, didn't even think of Alphonse/Charlie - could work too. Though hmm yes, I'd prefer Ice/Charlie I think - but every combination could work with those guys.

I'm pretty sure I have several episodes on tape too, I shall endeavor to find them too *nodnod*

Thanks for the link. Should I find my tape --I know it's there somewhere, I know it-- I'm thinking of trying, I don't know a drabble or something? The problem is, writing something when you don't really know the characters by heart is a bit difficult. I mean for me it is. Also, usually I don't write a fandom when I never watched the original version of the series - but well, maybe a drabble wouldn't be too difficult? But huh the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking it's not such a good idea after all - talk about being my worst enemy, I just talked myself into not writing it lol

I'll see if my episodes inspire my rare fandom muses - muses I don't have yet, but whatever lol

I didn't give up on playing Players slash - only I did, okay I'll admit lol I think that if I really want to find one, I'll have to write it myself *shrug*
