Watched White Collar 1x07 and I have a question. Or two. Wtf, dude, what.the.fuck? When, exactly, did White Collar become the kind of show that pull that kind of twist? When I wasn't looking, obviously!

If it'd been any other show, I might have seen it coming; after all, if they wanted to go for shocking revelation, it had to be someone close to Neal (and us) so the logical solution was to have Peter be the Guy With the Ring but it's White Collar! White Collar which is all about the pretty and the cute and the adorable banter and the obvious slash and the sweet (and sexy) OT3 with just a little side of Neal angst to spice it up a little! So, no, I sure never saw it coming.

What the fuck does it mean, argh! Whatever, till we get the last word on this whole mess, I decided to believe that things aren't what they seem and I'm keeping my trust in Peter intact because it's Peter and I refuse to believe he'd betray Neal and be a bad guy *clings to our!Peter*

I still have no opinion on Kate, I realised. I don't know what to think of her. Except that I hate when characters do what she's been doing from the get go, meaning giving out semi-clues that are totally useless "It's someone from the FBI!!1!" "Don't trust anyone omg!" - way to make someone suspicious of everyone (though, usually, never the right persons) and make them waste time and effort and energy on trying to find who it is... why can't they just spell it out? If they really want to protect and/or warn someone, why can't they fucking do it instead of beating around the bush for ever? *sigh* And, I know, because if they did, there would be no suspense and no show, but it always drives me crazy.

And the show is on hiatus now, of course. Well, guess I'll have to go and read fics. So far I didn't really get the urge to but I think I'm feeling it now. Next place to visit, [livejournal.com profile] collarkink - with a name like that, how could I resist?

Apart from that and seeing my mom and goddaughter yesterday (she babysat her this weekend) I did a lot of reading. For classes. Because apparently I'm doing a Master's degree now? Backstory: last year, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I thought about it a lot. Thought some more. I talked about it with Cookie who said she'd like to do it too. I decided it was a sign. So in June, I met with some teachers, started with the paperwork, got myself enrolled and went back to school in october. So I'm a grad student now.

I'm still trying to get used to the idea, to be honest :-) Though I'm having a blast. I mean, I'm kinda tired - what with having a full time job, classes, books to read and essays to write for said classes and, you know, having a social and familial life too - but I'm definitely having fun. Just, I'm hoping I'll manage to keep the rhythm, is all. We'll see. At least, I'm trying and not giving up, which is something... or so I keep telling myself.

And I finally can use the icon [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin made for me for for the occasion! ♥

Thanks ;-)

I got into it because of the cute and the pretty, but things seem to be getting quite interesting so I'm even more hooked.

I've read a spoiler which I didn't get regarding White Collar and the fall finale... can I mention it here? (I wouldn't want to spoil anyone, but I'd like confirmation about the big twist that apparently happened...)

If the spoiler is about the fall finale (and not about what might come next), sure, go ahead.

Do they hint that the FBI might be a bad guy?

Well. No-one knows what Peter (FBI Guy) is really doing but, yeah, the twist is that the guy we thought was a bad guy turns out to be Peter! So now we're trying to understand what the hell Peter is doing, exactly. Which is exciting. And kinda unexpected, I didn't see White Collar as the kind of show to pull twists like that :-)

As I've said, I've only watched the first episode, so I can safely say that I wouldn't have seen it coming either. Oddly enough, this twist makes me want to watch the show - well done lol
