A couple of days ago, we completed our True Blood s2 marathon and tonight we're catching up on s3... by tomorrow we'll be up-to-date and ready to download with the rest of the fans \o/ I'll be honest and acknowledge that Sookie sorta grew on me; I started right in the middle of can't-stand-her, then took a turn at ok-maybe-I-can-tolerate-her to end up at maybe-I-like-her. Will it ever be true love between Sookie and me? I want to say 'no' but one should never say 'never' so, who knows? I didn't change my mind about Bill, though. I still find him boring and useless. My love for Eric only grows stronger whenever I see him and I wish we saw more of Pam because I love her too. And I need a TB icon now, I think!

Between mainlining True Blood and (finally, the novel has been sitting on my shelves for ages) starting Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko, my weeks has been sponsored by Vampires R Us, it'd seem.

We also watched White Collar 2x02 and omg, I loved the episode so much! I rewound so many scenes, so many times, that the episode ran for much longer than the average forty-two minutes lol I think I'll watch it again tomorrow because I'll need my fix of adorable white collarness soon ♥ ♥

Ok now if you'll excuse me, I'll go and eat some more slices of watermelon. nicelyobsessed has helped herself with a new plate and I can smell it from accross the room. I need a second helping as well *off to gorge on watermelon*

Hooray for True Blood! It would be a difficult show to enjoy if you didn't like Sookie to some degree, since she's the main character. So I'm glad she's grown on you. She's a pretty kick-ass female, which I dig.

And of course, Eric is still teh!love! He occasionally shows up in my dreams. True story! :P

Speaking of these vampires, a guy at a party I went to last night came up behind me and gently bit my neck/shoulder. I wasn't expecting it and it was a bit startling. lol Granted I did end up kissing him a bit more later...yeah, vampires are great. :) Well, the hot sexy kind. Not the Twilight kind.

That's the problem I had when I tried the show for the first time. I couldn't stand Sookie or Bill and since they're the lead characters, it definitely was problematic.

But all's good now :-)

I've been a vampire fan since I was 12 or 13, right after I discovered Louis and Lestat in Interview with the Vampire. Anne Rice is still the gold standard for modern vampires, IMHO. *nods*

Wheee! glad it's growing on you! (read the books if you have the time, they're great, and quite different from the series (the secondary characters for instance are worth the read)... and since I've repeated it over 300 times, I'm going to shut up about those books... for now lol)

But I agree about Bill - it's freakishly annoying. Especially with Eric and Pam nearby!

I'll try the books this summer, I think. Plus, I've heard something along the lines of 'Eric's maker in the novels turned him into a vampire and his lover'? I have no idea whether's it's actually canon and if it features a lot or not but if it's true, then even just a mention would be worth it lol

But anyway, Sam has the books so she's going to lend them to me. I'll see how it goes.

Yeah, Bill is annoying but it's even worse when he's around characters who rock. Il me ferait presque pitié, maintenant que j'y pense lol

Sort of related. James watches TV in bed and the other day I woke up and he was watching Twilight, a scene where it was first revealed that they sparkle.

The next day he was telling me how awesome it was and how the vampires sparkled. How did I fail so badly?!
