castalieSeven days without a post, eh? Time flies when you're busy being busy! Also, I'm pretty tired these days so even though I've felt the urge to write an entry a couple of times the past week, I've lacked the energy to do anything about it.
My time has basically been divided into two things the past ten days: work and thesis. I've finally handed the thing yesterday and saw my advisor today so she could give me some feedback. Said feedback was positive, I don't have a lot to modify so I don't feel like I have to do it all over #GoodFeelings Overall I'm pleased and I feel like I'm seeing the end of the tunnel. In a week I should be done with it. I'll be honest, I'm at this stage when I just want to be done with it. Which is pretty much what I said the last time I wrote about my thesis back in August, I think lol
Onto the fannish. Tv-wise, Suits has ended and I'm still two episodes behind. I'll definitely catch up before the end of the week, this is a promise I make to myself! Same thing with True Blood. I'm up-to-date with Doctor Who. I loved "The Girl Who Waited", it was gorgeous. I cried my eyes out during the episode and Cookie was, I quote: "this close to cry", end of quote, which is definitely a testament to how beautiful and moving and sad the episode was. The girlfriend pretty much only ever sheds a tear if an animal is killed. So to have her "almost cry" for something that did not involve a dying animal is huge!" I never thought I'd be so invested in Doctor Who but as I keep saying, Eleven, Amy and Rory got me, hook line and sinker. And I'm just happy they did :-)
Fic-wise, I've read a Suits fic that I have to rec because it's too perfect not to share. Closer is a gorgeous Harvey/Mike that has a fantastic AU premise, spot-on characterisation and a build-up that is to die for. It's touching, fun and sweet and clever. I had a blast. And it's 30k!
Music-wise, I've fallen completely in love with Neon Trees. I've had Habits play in a loop for the past week and I can't get enough ♥ ♥ I'm even more jealous of the crowd in NY that got to see Panic! at the Disco and Neon Trees. Also Black Cards, I know, but I'm pretty much focused on Panic and Neon Trees, there.
