J'en ai marre!

Started a new Lost download last night for the umpteenth time and let Clark work all night - poor little guy stayed turned on constantly --sounds like he's a slut, my Clark lol-- to download the file.

Just woke up, checked the result and lo and behold - the file had finally been saved! Oh joy, oh happiness! *bounces*

Yeah, well not for long. *stops bouncing* What I have? Is an audio file. The screen froze on the very first picture and didn't de-freeze. So I have the sound, no problem, but nothing more!

Dammit *sigh*

This is why I don't like changes, see? Everything worked just fine with .wmv files but this .avi? Killed my episode! *sobs*

But apart from that, hi guys *waves* Have a good day *rubs eyes*

PS: I'm still grateful for what Our Saviour is doing for us, btw. That's beside the point. It's just that it didn't work at all this time, so the Mouse isn't a happy camper *pout* And she's also a junkie without her crack - because see? I didn't get my new Lost fix.

PS2: Again if you think I'm obsessed with Lost and that I couldn't let it go, ever. Well that's not true! I have tremendous power. Why, I could give up this blanket show right today if I had to!

I'd love that yes. I don't count the times when I try to download the file, from one source or another but I can't give up! lol

Weird thing is, I have a least another .avi file and it works, so I don't know why this one refuses to *sigh*

Oh, dear... Avi files work better for me, because I get to burn the CDs and watch the ep on my TV with the DVD player. I don't know why your doesn't work, though... If that yousendit file doesn't work, I could send you a CD of the one I have which I know works, so that you can at least check that the problem isn't with the download. Also, I'd suggest trying to find some codecs as it might simply be that you don't have the right one. I remember when I first got this computer, a friend sent me some Buffy avi files that wouldn't work. It was the same as you, I only had the sound. So it could be a codec problem. You should look into that.

Avi files and me are mortal enemies. I used to be unable to watch anything until I downloaded some packs and whatnot. Still now they keep on pissing me off *sigh*

Our Saviour --as we call her-- decided to revert back to wmv files after seeing many people couldn't read the files, which may not please exactly btw lol

Hm, this sounds like missing codec to me. I've had it happen before. There is a program called G-spot (no, seriously) that can tell you what codec was used to create a file. I don't have the link, but if you google it you should find it.

Oh yeah definitely a missing codec. Codecs and me hate each other - case in point the original file. The Girl went back to wmv files so it's okay now - thanks for the help anyway, I'll remember to check it out *g* And seriously G-spot? Well at least, I won't forget the name! lol
