So get out, get out, get out of my head (or not!)

I don't know if it's because I've had such a fantastic weekend but going back to work has been brutal! And, ok, I'm exaggerating a bit, nothing bad happened, but I've only been back for two little days and it already feels like I've been there all week! We had four biggish deadlines in those two days, three of them all happening on Tuesday afternoon, and it was quite hectic. But at least it's behind me. Things will truly slow down after the 18th and I'm quite impatient for it; it's always a time of the year when everything seems to be happening at once. Although one of the perks is that days fly by, so there's that ;)

In fannish news...for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I seem to have maybe fallen into the 1D fandom? Or ok, greedydancer is behind it. Thing is, she's fallen hard for it (as in hard) and whenever friends of mine fall into a fandom in such a away I get curious... so I did ask her about it and watched a video clip on my own and admitted that I did like Whatshisname's face (spoiler, that was Louis Tomlinson) but then over the weekend she spent a couple of hours (like, between 3.00AM and 5.00AM on Saturday night - who needs sleep?) showing french_hobbit and me clips and interviews and I was like yeah no I do like this Louis dude quite a lot, show me more!

She was trying to find recs for me, which prompted her to ask me whether I needed those fic to be bottom!Louis to which I said yes (as I'm wont to do) so because she's such a good friend, she asked her twitter feed for recs. Cue my receiving some great suggestions as well as links to primers, tumblr tags, interviews and, well, I slept five hours on Sunday night to satisfy this new hunger of mine. Again, who needs sleep? Nine hours of sleep in two nights, sure thing, no problem! (Except for how I've been kinda hating myself in the morning... and throughout the day because I'm not 20 anymore and I did feel the lack of sleep, I'm afraid. Did it make me go to bed earlier last night? Well. I don't know if midnight counts as "early" but it does counts as "earlier", so.)

As a result, I can say that I'm totally smitten with Louis (who's my #1) closely followed with Liam and Zayn (who are both #2). So I've been busy reading more fic, watching more interviews, downloading the albums (will purchase them at a later date, promise... or ask them for my bday and have my whole family mock me) and hunting Tumblr for more Louis tag (or Liam and Zayn).

So when I say I've had a busy beginning of the week, this also includes the fannish side of it lol

I remember how grueling it was getting back to work after the holidays so you have all my sympathy. There are many good things with working in academia but the frenzy of the start-and-end of the semesters are definitely not one of them :-)
