Feb. 7th, 2014 06:07 pmIt is Friday o_O I mean, no, it is Friday \o/ but where has the week gone? I'd planned on resurrecting the One Week in the Life meme and I diligently took pictures to document my days, every day (except yesterday, I think I only took one, my bad), but for reasons that I can't really explain we've reached the end of the week and... there's not a single post in sight. Ahem.
So what I'm going to do, I think, since I took the time to take pictures and all, is post them next week. I'll turn it into a One (Delayed) Week in the Life meme. There.
I have great plans this weekend! RL-wise I'll be seeing different friends all weekend, tonight included, and there will be food involved. Always a good thing. There was supposed to be a Much Ado About Nothing viewing on Sunday but alas the film isn't showing anymore in the theaters that interested us (as in the ones that accept my theater card and don't make us pay the 10,80€ ticket fare) so I'll have to see it on DVD (or, you know, after I download it). I am hoping that I'll be able to squeeze in a showing of The Lunchbox, though. I've been meaning to see it ever since it came out and I'm afraid it won't stay much longer on our screens.
Fannish-wise, I have a busy schedule as well. I have some 1D fic that I've been dying to read all week. I'm also planning on catching up with Person of Interest and Arrow. I'll start with the latter, actually, as my BIL got hooked on the show last week (as in he watched the pilot, just out of curiosity, and ended up going to bed around 3.00AM, which is basically what happened to me, I can relate!) and is now ahead of me! I feel pretty indignant about this state of affairs, so I intend to catch up asap as there's no way I'll let him stay ahead. So Arrow and POI in priority. We'll see about Looking and The Musketeers later.
I'd also like to finish reading The Blind Assassin. I'm still ahead on my reading schedule thanks to Fangirl (by Rainbow Rowell), which I read last night. Don't know if you've heard about that book; it's a YA contemporary novel telling the story of a young woman, Cath, who's starting out college and trying to handle this new life all the while trying to keep up with her fanfic writing as she happens to be a BNF in the novel equivalent of the Harry Potter fandom. I'm afraid she and her sister irritated me a lot, especially at the beginning, but Cath did grow on me at the end and I did enjoy the book well enough. I was curious about it because my BookTubers kept raving about it (another book they all love with a passion which just made me go "ok, nice!") and because I couldn't resist a story about a fangirl. Obviously I had to check it out :)
