castalie | J'irai revoir ma Normandie

Hi there. So I won't apologise for the no posting a single entry for the past ten days because I had very good reasons to be away from LJ as I was away from home and basically away from everything connected as well! I spent the last ten days in Normandie with my in-laws and there is no internet in the house. Even our smartphones can't seem to connect properly.

Those were ten days spent resting and eating and going to the beach and biking and reading and playing games and just relaxing. In case you're wondering, it was as good as it sounds ;)

I'd brought five books with me and managed to read three of them (Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, More than This by Patrick Ness and Timequake by Kurt Vonnegut), which isn't too bad considering we were often out (even if to just for some biking or to have a walk along the beach etc.) and having some family members (mine) visit us. Anyway, I'm finally one book ahead on my GoodReads challenge, which is lovely. The cheeky thing kept warning me I was one book behind schedule and now it's not. Take that, GR challenge!

Now I'm busy catching up on ALL THE FIC and ALL THE PODCAST, which is something I love when coming back home; seeing all those goodies waiting for me. I have many a Musketeers fic to read and I've been in an American Idol mood (don't ask me why) so I've been re-reading some favourites (mainly Jerakeen's stories). Last but not least, new episodes of Welcome to Night Vale and The Thrilling Adventure Hour had been released while I was away so I'm a happy fangirl at the moment :)
