Okay now that's out of the way...
Today was good. I did nothing... as in, nothing. I didn't even set a foot outside the house - that kind of nothing. I pretty much read fanfic all day without worrying about, well, anything *beams* I snuggled under my beloved blanket --Linus doesn't have anything on me, seriously-- and read HL all day.
You know the feeling when you suddenly find a story you thought you'd lost forever? It's a good feeling, isn't it? Well that's what happened last night - or should I say this morning around 4.30. maygra's latest F&F WIP, I thought I'd cruise her site and revisit her HL section. It's been ages since I went to her site to tell the truth and it almost felt like the first time. Weird. But very pleasant.
Anyway, while reading the list of her fics I suddenly froze at her United Nations, Undivided Souls series because holy shit, that was it! The series I'd been wanting to re-read for a while now but which title and author I'd totally forgotten - only when I saw the title, it all came back to me and I knew it was the one. I felt a bit ashamed in a way, because considering the tone of the fic --dark, gritty, violent, intense and so fucking perfect-- I should have thought of Maygra's name. Well, you may not like her work at all but I'm a fan, so obviously this is a pretty biased opinion lol
I'm addicted to some of her fics because she writes damaged!Methos like nobody's business while still keeping him IC, ie we still get the cunning, cynical, brilliant and oh so infuriating Methos we love so much. She kept the core of his character while damaging him with all the awful things she kept doing to him - isn't she just perfect? lol
And ohhhhhhh there's a HL RPS community?Interesting! So wrong!
Damn - all this HL talk made me long for the DVDs even more *whimper* You can't imagine how much I want to get my hands on some original versions of HL. I love my tapes --battered as they are after thousands of viewings-- I love Methos' French voice but I want to listen to him in English. I crave to hear his accent *sigh* Why can't they release the bloody DVDs in France! I mean, I do love the French version a lot, Methos' voice is really cute so I'd like to have both versions, but I'd take everything in the meantime to have Teh Accent, so Region2 even if it wasn't the French version would work - yes, oh yes *nodnod*
Eeep no wait! I did something else. I finished coding the last stories for Challenge #67 - go me! Every challenge has been done and sent now *feels accomplished*
