You guys, I had the most perfect day today! So fun and chill and cozy and christmassy. A little context first: over the years, the FP has established some yearly Wintery traditions: November = Thanksgiving at GD and E.'s place, December = Saint Nicolas at theirs again, January = New Year afternoon tea at Sam's and February = Raclette at Cookie's and mine. This year, Saint Nicolas became a sort of Intercultural event and we made it a Christmas Cookies/Bredalas workshop. We gathered early afternoon, had tea and clementines before baking and decorating our little fingers off throughout the whole afternoon. At the end of the day, we'd baked and decorated 165 Christmas cookies, bredalas and linzer. We don't joke around, do we? lol
We had a Christmas playlist playing in the playground the whole time and when we were done with the baking, we sat down and had homemade hot chocolate with marshmallow and peppermint candy cane (which, according to E. is how candy cane should taste like. Might be obvious for some of you but I think we'd only ever had cherry or strawberry etc. flavoured candy canes, so that was a first). Perfect way to end our little "workshop", if you ask me ;)
I'll post some picture of our cookies later on because they were so cute! (Which reminds me that I owe you some christmas tree pictures,
slb44, I haven't forgotten, promise).
So that was a very fun day ♥
Oh, and unrelated but Cookie and I have booked our tickets for Star Wars: the Last Jedi tomorrow night. I am so excited! So far the people around me who have seen it have enjoyed it tremendously so it bodes well :)
