GYST en ce dimanche pluvieux

Pretty mellow :)
I had a lovely weekend. Yesterday, the FP celebrated (Very Early Due to Conflicting Schedules) Thanksgiving - what we call Frenchgiving, one of our FP Wintery Traditions (third time we celebrate). If you want to see a little recap, you can go over my Instagram account where I posted a couple of pictures :).
GD and E. were kind enough to make some special portions specifically for me, meaning with no gravy or anything else that could have upset my stomach, for which I was very grateful because it meant I could enjoy the main dish with the rest of them. That was so thoughtful ♥ I didn't eat any of the cakes, though, which was a bummer but from the looks of it (and smells, omg, the whole flat smelt so good - actually, it even smelt wonderful in the hallway outside the flat) it was pretty divine too ;) Next year, guys, next year! As usual, we all left with leftovers which, apparently, is also an important part of the meal. I'm bringing it to lunch tomorrow, I cannot wait #Yummy
Today was a nice and productive day. Sundays seem to inspire Cookie and me, we usually end up sorting All the Things Out in the Flat. Case in point today; we did some cleaning in the morning (it shouldn't be as exciting as it is but there you have it, having the flat all cleaned and sorted on a Sunday brings us joy - more than any other day) before heading to Paris for some shopping in Les Halles (a shopping mall). We came back with some nice loot: Christmas decorations and fun little stuff for assorted nieces/nephews, the softest of plaids for the bedroom (ours is the Plaid Household) and boxes. For more sorting things out that happened once we were back. We usually go for simple and cheap storage (Ikea boxes, anyone?) since it's hidden in our closets but we also quite love Muji's stackable drawer storage boxes for when we need something a tad "fancier" (like, I know we're still talking storage). Basically, if there were a Storage Fandom, we'd be deep in it (wait, actually, I'm pretty sure there is, better stay away from YT or Pinterest or the likes, lest I fall for it). I heard about the Container store in the US? My dream come true, you guys.
Why, yes, yes I wrote a whole paragraph about boxes and storage. Anyway lol
Hope you had a nice weekend too, flist *hugs*

Date: 2018-11-14 06:05 am (UTC)Is there nothing like the container store in Europe? Here's a link to the USA version. But just because it's around, doesn't means it's convenient -- I think there may be one in Albuquerque, a six-hour drive away.
But yes, I love containers... if only I had room for them all, LOL!
