Salut, papa. Joyeux Noël
Dec. 16th, 2018 10:54 pmBredala/Christmas cookies workshop with the FP was a success ;) I think we're starting to get the hang of this! In a couple of years, I'm sure our cookies decorations will be worthy of the most talented artists! Or not. Oh, well, at least we're having a lot of fun ;) Decorating and eating them all, so yay!
Unrelated to baking but still about Christmassy subjects. I was watching tv earlier and there was something I wanted to share with you. As per usual, at this time of year, companies share their Christmas commercials. Even though their one goal is to sell you things and make more profit, I can't help but absolutely loving some of them. This year, there are two that I can't get enough of (as in, I start smiling whenever I hear the first notes of each commercials, no matter how many times I see them).
The first one (which isn't brand new per se as it aired last year - and was already a favourite back then) tells the story of a little boy who's afraid for Santa's health and wants to make sure he won't get stuck in the chimney on Christmas night and who tries, with the help of his elder sister, to change Santa's diet. The second one is (at least to me) new and tells the story of a dancing dad and his son through the years. (I don't know if you really need any translation as the context is pretty self-explanatory but just in case, the end goes like "hey, Dad. Merry Christmas"). It gets me every single time! It's such a feel good commercial, I absolutely love it ♥

Date: 2018-12-17 01:16 pm (UTC)Sadly I couldn't see your second link due to country restrictions, but it sounds good. There wasn't many stand out adverts for me this year. I especially disliked John Lewis' effort which I normally love but is nothing more than an ad for the upcoming Elton John film this time. Seriously, what were they thinking?!
But after a good think, and a good watch I'm going for the Heathrow Bears.
Well, at least if your cooking decorating isn't the best you can eat the evidence *g*
