As you might have guessed from my previous posts (even though I've been ever so subtle about it), I'm deep in fan mode at the moment (of course, one could argue that I'm always in fan mode so let's say I'm at the highest level right now) and I enjoy it immensely because every now and then it's quite pleasant to be reminded that Fandom is still a very dynamic place to which you can contribute, where you can share your love with others and have many interactions with fellow fans in a short span of time, exchange theories, squee about a sneak peek that last 10 seconds or rave about the news of a new actor/actress being cast and all those things that make us love being part of Fandom in the first place. (I even went as far as posting something at Tumblr! After spending a good amount of time tryign to remember which login I used on that site. Turns out, it's not my usual).

The fannish feeling has been enhanced somehow thanks to a podcast I've been listening to the past week, namely Through the Looking Glass: a Lost Retrospective about, you guessed it, Lost. It doesn't propose recaps of the episodes (if you happen to know a podcast like that, I could be interested, though), what it does is explore the impact the show had on the industry, on audience, on fandom etc. It's quite interesting a) as a Lost fan to begin with and b) as a tv fan in general - maybe even more so as a tv fan whose fannish life has been predominantly online and who "was there" when Lost aired for the first time.

A drawback now is that I've been craving the show itself (then again, one might not consider this a "drawback" as such), a sort of "I have to go back!" moment of my own, if you will ;) I was trusting either Netflix or Prime Video to be the one to satisfy this craving but alas, I couldn't find the show on either of their catalogs. I have the feeling Netflix had Lost at one point and, well, lost it? Which is too bad because I was looking forward to just sit down in front of my tv and start with the binge watching sessions. Now, I have to through the hassle of finding the show elsewhere (although, I'm pretty sure I have the first season on DVD somewhere in the flat. It'll be a good start).

Platforms such a Netflix really do spoil you, don't they? "You want to watch 122 episodes of your favourite show? Of course! Here they are! Just click here, we'll take care of the rest (and make sure you haven't fallen asleep if you happen to watch four episodes in a row. We're not judging! Merely checking whether you're still there!)." Ah, Netflix ♥

PS: back to Prodigal Son for a second. If you want to talk about Prodigal Son with me here, be my guest of course!

I'm up to episode three for PS and am intrigued with where they're going in terms of the family interactions.

How is the PS fandom shaping up? I know you're reading fic, but what's the power couple? There has to be one by now, and is it a lot of h/c goodness with bed restraints involved? I'm imagining there will be. If not, why not?!

I only ever saw the first season of Lost, and from the outcry about the last season, maybe that's just as well.
