french_hobbit! You went through quite a lot of changes the past months and I can only wish that, should you go through more of them, they'll all be positive and will bring you happiness. Then, I can't not wish you even more hot and naughty Lotrips for the coming year, of course, because one can never get too much slash in one's life *kisses*
Watched the Star Wars Special they did on M6 last night - they're airing the five films, one each Monday, and yesterday was Ep II + a documentary on the first trilogy + episodes of the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series - and I was bouncing in my chair during the documentary. I mean, it wasn't even the film just the story of how the trilogy came to life but it was so exciting and, just, you know how it turned out and it makes watching the whole process so much more interesting - also you can't help cheer on and ache for George Lucas when the filming proves to be a nightmare and he's getting himself sick when it feels like Star Wars [La Guerre des Etoiles for us, btw] won't ever complete and man, I felt so sad for him, even though I knew the success he was going to meet afterwards. Also, I can't help be a bit envious of those who watched the trilogy when it first came out. You know, when it was truly new - I wonder how it was. They were showing the crowd, the lines in front of the theaters and just, wow!
Oh and re:SW III coming out tomorrow, btw? I'm starting to doubt Henry and I will make it. If we don't, it means - considering RL right now - that I won't be able to go before two weeks maybe and that's wrong on so many levels, you know? But it's okay, as long as I get to see it *g*
Changing the subject now, how sweet is that, we can officially pre-order Lost - The Complete First season - which reminds me that I found a pretty cheap multi-region DVD player - which also plays Divx and stuff - and I'm seriously wondering whether I could dare ask the parental unit to offer it to me for my birthday *chews lower lip* Oh and I also have to watch the last episode of Lost, btw. It's sitting on my computer, waiting and waiting.

That's really sweet, like it officially gives the fandom some diversity in its pairings and everyone knows diversity is the spice of life and all that *g* And speaking of diversity there's also been this Don/David fic posted as well. Haven't read it yet, but if some of you are interested - and if you don't already belong to the comm. You never know, after all *g*
What else, what else? Oh, something of even less importance, but if someone could put an APB on the sun, maybe? Cause I would appreciate it. Not that I don't like pulling a Blair and adding layer after layer because I'm cold, but we're mid-May and wearing one shirt plus one turtleneck plus two sweatshirts is nothing short of ridiculous. I'm just sayin'.
ETA: Okay so that might technically be sorta lame, but I just couldn't resist and actually found the result awfully cute so!

Date: 2005-05-17 09:05 pm (UTC)I was just a year older than you are when the first film was released, and, yes, it was pretty amazing. We'd really never seen anything like it, and of course had no idea that this was going to turn into one of those cultural milestones. I went to see the next two films as well, but it took such a very long time for the "prequel" films to be made that by the time they came out I'd lost interest. So in a way you guys are luckier than we were; you can see all the films one right after the other, and your tastes haven't changed. For my generation, it was like Coke was our beverage of choice when the first three films were released, but by the time the fourth film rolled around we were laying down wine cellars.
You have to hurry up and watch Lost! Part one of the season finale airs tomorrow!

And it was also funny to think that while a lot of people were getting hooked on the trilogy, they had no idea that their own kids would fall for it as well and get obsessed in the same way as they did.

Considering RL right now, I'm not even sure I'll be able to catch up before one or two weeks. Maybe I'll just do a Lost final-episodes marathon once everything goes back to normal *g*
