Wanna go back to bed *yawn* But can't *pout* But hey, since Sandrine cancelled our afternoon's get together, it means I'll be able to come back home and rest after Pt 1 of today's activities is over, so it's okay.

Part 1 of yesterday's activities went well - part 2 not so much, but you get used to it. Anyway, my granddad is finally leaving the hospital in an hour or so - which is why I'm in a bit of a hurry, not that you'd notice considering I'm here, mind - so let's focus on that. It's not going to make anything better health wise, but at least he'll be in his own house and he'll finally get his peace and quiet back - that has to count for something, so yay!

On the fannish front - I managed to code one more challenge yesterday, and I think I'll do more this afternoon, or this evening depending on when we're back from pépé's. Terri and I decided on a plan, so expect some major updates at ST in the coming week. This should be nice *g*

Also, Monday night, I downloaded QAF 405, so now? I can officially say that I saw all of QAF - without a single episode missing - ie not a single Cursed Episode either *preens* And as for the fourth season, it's all thanks to [livejournal.com profile] paddies. Could I be more grateful?

Won't write a big review or anything, but I just had something to say about Ben.

Ben? You can be such an arrogant and condescending piece of shit sometimes, I swear *sigh* I love you and I love you with Michael but during the scene in Babylon, I really didn't like you at all. The remark was so mean - so demeaning, so disrespectful to Michael, I couldn't believe my ears. Sure, I knew the scene because I'd heard about it, but to actually hear Ben all but say that Michael isn't smart enough to understand his work made me cringe *cringes again at the thought*

And I liked how this scene was intensified by the - sexy - mock fight on stage. You know the mock fight that the dancers were performing at the exact same time Ben was being a jerk to Michael - in perfect sync with Ben's words and Michael's reaction. As if seeing one of the warrior-dancer beating the other was exactly what was happening with Ben and Michael, only Ben was using words, obviously - gave a nice emphasis on how Michael was taking his lover's remark. Like a punch in the gut *hugs him*

And then of course, in the next scene, Michael being Michael, he had to put himself down. Damn. So okay, technically Ben showed him that he'd been right all along and that his criticism was exactly the same as those 'brainy' professionals, still he shut him out and didn't really apologise and told him that Michael was as smart as anyone else and that his opinion was as valuable as theirs. Ben Ben Ben... don't care if you were really disappointed and a bit embarrassed that everyone was thinking your book was boring, that might be a reason but that wasn't an excuse - you were a jerk *sigh*

And finally, I did the Battle Royale meme that I saw on several people on my flist, but I won't paste the code here. The thing is, the LJers that were in the results are people from my flist that I don't really have any contact with, so it wasn't as funny. No offense *g* But I can still tell you that my weapon was coffee of all things and that I'd killed 24 students - which when you think of it, is pretty much an exploit considering my weapon lol Also, my goal in the game was to earn a degree which is kinda ironical everything considered. And my last word was 'Why?' which isn't really original, but okay why not lol

Those two never give up, do they? That's one of the reasons why I like them - but damn, it was painful to listen to *glares at Ben*

The moment I loved even more was right before Brian entered the room, when Linds is dragging him by the hand - twas so bloody cute! lol

totally! hail for Brian! But Justin... now, I could do without him and his whole superherocomplex *rolls eyes*

Oh, and in 304, when Brian drags Ted out of his meeting? Priceless!

I really really got to love the Ted-Brian scenes - they're just so good *g*

Ah Justin... so weird to think when I first watched QAF I actually liked and was interested in him and eventually his relationship with Brian. Then as episodes go, I started to see him as a background character - how weird is that? I still like and notice him in S2 --because of the angst-- but otherwise? Not so much *shrug*

he's a girl, that's why.
Oh, one more thing: I really like season 1 because you see a lot of 'homey' stuff - like that scene when Michael's getting ready for his dinner at David's, and Justin is playing game boy and Brian changing light bulbs... I like that!
