Hi, my name is Mouse and I'm a TV junkie
Feb. 5th, 2005 09:55 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I know I already sent a card so it might sound a tad redundant, but the Bday post is part of the LJ tradition, so Joyeux Anniversaire to a member of the French Posse, namely the lovely
crazybutsound. Hope you had a great day, in spite of everything. You sure deserve it *hugs*
On a different note now and because I'm a TV junkie:
Angel:
Damn, who would have thought that going through three discs would take such a short time *longs for other seasons of Angel* I mean, I didn't realise it the first time because when I obsessively got into the series and started with my Nightly Marathons, I actually had four box sets to watch so it felt like I always had a new disc to feed my little DVD player, but with the last development in my plan on getting the whole show on DVDs, I just bought one little box set and seriously but what was I supposed to do? Watch one episode a day? What am I? Supergirl with Super Will & Discipline? AH! It's a good thing I had a lot to do today - I have yet to watch the last episode, namely Soulless, so I'm not totally done yet. But after that... it's withdrawal time! Unless I go and treat myself with a new box set sometime this week, but I'm not sure it's reasonable- right, as if it ever stopped me before.
But whatever.
Back to the Third and Last Holy Disc, my watching Awakening sorta went in five little seps.
It started at:
Hey cool, Wesley brought Ninja Guy to help us. Oh no! Ninja Guy is a bad guy? Damn, I can't believe Wesley did a mistake like that, I mean... shit, he was so sure of what he was doing, this sucks! Oh and of course everyone is going to think he screwed up again, now. Damn! No wait... wow, Angel and Wesley are... bantering and smiling to each other like before? Oookay that's... an interesting development. Can't say I like it exactly and I don't even know why, but why not, if they want to try and start closing the rift between them, I suppose they have to start somewhere.
With a brief brief detour to:
OMG Wesley is so fucking smart. Knowledge kink, wheee! Could I love him more?
Passing by:
Okay so the big fight is here. Oh and Angel pulls a Buffy with his prep talk. Oh and of course he'll fight alone to protect the others... okay alone with Connor. Fancy that. Like father like son, after all.
With a dose of:
*blink* Huh... that's it? The Beast is dead and, nothing? What about the whole 'no human will survive and maybe not even you' stuff? Cause it doesn't feel like it, from where I'm standing. What a sham, man! But whatever. Joss is the boss, right? So if he got everything fixed and everyone happy in two minutes flat, well that's literally his show to run, so all right. But it sucks. Oh and now we're having some Cordy/Angel action? What the hell, man, something is so--
To finally end at:
HOLY SHIT! Wow... well, everything makes sense now *g*
Hail to spell actually working - also, yay Wesley didn't do any mistake! lol
So I went from 'Okay cool episode blah blah' to 'Eeek wow, nice twist after all' in two minutes flat lol
Something else that is cool though it makes me ache for Wesley each time I see it, is how he's always apart from the others. I mean, physically. They'll be in the lobby and everyone will be either standing or sitting relatively close to each other, and Wes will be sitting behind them all on the couch or standing outside of the 'circle', all alone. Or they'll be all standing and forming a group and once again he'll be in the background. So yes, really cool as far as visuals go if painful, of course *g*
Can you tell I'm still having fun with that show? *g*
Nip/Tuck:
So I watched it last night and my love for Christian grows and grows. Sometimes I seriously can't believe I'm hearing what I'm hearing or seeing what I'm seeing, but the guy is just too fucked-up for words and look so lost and I just love it - he's definitely one hell of an interesting character *g* Makes you want to strangle him and hug him at the same time lol
Numb3rs:
Does someone remember the UploadMadness Adventure? Well, I turned to SendThisFile and uploaded the pilot for the umpteenth time over there and gave it away to those who'd requested it in the first place. I still have two links left which are yours for the taking. If someone wants it, drop me a line.
Also, even though
snurch_tv fell victim of teh TOS, I still managed to contact someone who had the second episode for grabs and she was kind enough to upload the episode for me, so I'll have a nice little Numb3rs fix soon *bounce* Now I just need to get my hands on the third episode *is hopeful*
Stargate SG1:
I want to solemnly thank
thegrrrl2002 for linking me to this post where The Prettiness and Hotness That Is Hooded Daniel was displayed for everyone to see *g* Damn, Daniel in robes is so a kink of mine... and the hood thing? *is dead* Before you click though, bear in mind that it contains pic-spoilers for It's Good to be King.
The Sentinel:
M6 already cancelled TS *sigh* I told you they had a love-hate relationship - I was so happy to have my favourite couple back on my telly, but well, fate was against us lol
The Dead Zone:
New season started tonight - whee!

Date: 2005-02-05 09:14 pm (UTC)But yeah, Daniel in robes, especially that Abydonian attire... Yum.

Date: 2005-02-05 09:44 pm (UTC)But he made his angry/pissed off face when they were giving Teal'c the beat down. I so adore that look. The 'I want to do something... need to protect... must protect...can't stand here and do nothing' look. I so love that. hehe.
And I was waaaaay to entertained by Jack smelling the flowers. His hair is also teh sex. *nods*
Um, do you know what he said to him about his wives at the end? I didn't catch it!
I need new Stargate icons. I don't like any of the ones I have anymore and it's bugging me cause I have 50 icons again!
Okay, I'm done. :P

Date: 2005-02-05 10:18 pm (UTC)There were some nice Teal'c/Daniel scenes, then? Cause this OTP is so my Back-up SG OTP, you know?
Actually I didn't see the episode yet so I have no idea about what was said about who and when *g* I guess the episode will come in the next batch of CDs I'll receive, but I don't have that one. Or I didn't check my pile of CDs well enough...
Everone needs more SG icons, it's like a way of life or something *nodnod*

Date: 2005-02-05 10:25 pm (UTC)And there are cute scenes for everyone!
My friend keeps telling me they are bringing the guy in from Farscape to take Jack's place on the team, is that true? *whimpers* And that he's going to keep being on there less and stuff. *sniffles* I know I'm really behind in things but still! Cause you know… JACK. He’s my fetish.

Date: 2005-02-05 10:39 pm (UTC)Your friend is true. Ben Browder is coming to SG (http://www.gateworld.net/articles/interviews/browder01.shtml) [articles with spoilers here] and should be Lieutenant Colonel. And Jack should be less present, yes. I think I heard names about his replacement but I don't remember where I saw that. Though I think Beau Bridges was mentioned? Damn, I don't remember, sorry *facepalm* Anyway, it was more rumours than anything, I think, so we still have to hear about the real info - but Jack shouldn't be here that much, apparently. Sorry *pets you*

Date: 2005-02-05 11:18 pm (UTC)And they
killedascended my favourite character in Meridian, so you know, I know the feeling anyway lol I mean, sure he came back in the end, but at the beginning, it was supposed to be definitive - Daniel leaving the SGC and MS leaving the cast, I mean. That was bad, man *sighs at the thought of that time*no subject

Date: 2005-02-05 11:16 pm (UTC)Oh! I got DVDs of TS from the original run! They cut so much on the SciFi channel run here - and it was all J/B interaction stuff! I'm in love all over again. :0
And great challenge for TS Thurs, by the by. *g*
no subject
Date: 2005-02-05 11:23 pm (UTC)What is it with those channels that cut interesting stuff! This is a crime, man! And J/B interaction at that? OMG! Will you write a little review on those scenes and stuff?
Thanks - our members are quite inspired. For the fics but also for the challenge suggestions apparently *g*

Date: 2005-02-06 02:36 am (UTC)It's a shame they don't broadcast in bi-canal.
no subject
Date: 2005-02-06 09:50 am (UTC)And how come you know that channel btw? What's bi-canal?
no subject
Date: 2005-02-06 10:25 am (UTC)[Bi-canal - en francais] That's when the show is broadcase with two audio tracks - the original and the dubbed version. You may choose which one to listen to via a button on the tv's remote control. I've seen TSR, DRS and TSI broadcast shows that way. Oh - and TCM / Cartoon network.

Date: 2005-02-06 10:36 am (UTC)And that bi-canal sounds too good for words *g*

Date: 2005-02-07 08:32 pm (UTC)So, did you watch Nip/Tuck? Cause there're some gory scenes, and I kept wondering if you wouldn't, sorta... react badly when seeing them... but if you actually don't mind, or just stop watching durings those --they don't las long-- you'll certainly find Christian interesting - he's like Brian Kinney, really *g*

Date: 2005-02-08 04:18 am (UTC)is it just me or does 'Christian' plucks his eyebrows? I don't know why, it's the only thing I kept thinking about lol
