[livejournal.com profile] aswanargent, I want to thank you again for a) the amazon.ca thing and b) your dS recs. I started with Hawks and Hands last night... and went to bed at 4.00 am because leaving the story was sheer torture! It was so fucking good it hurt, you know? I mean in a good way, but it did break my heart all over the place and I had this knot in my stomach and I ached so much for Fraser - I just can't resist damaged!Fraser, but that's hardly surprising - and Ray? Was so fucking incredible, I couldn't get enough of him either. And Dief... Dief broke the pieces of my heart that Fraser had already broken and just... wow! Then I realised the author, namely [livejournal.com profile] dsudis, actually belonged to my flist and seriously, I have the best flist ever! I'm still flying, I swear *g*

And still on the dS front - it seems I ordered Due South the Complete First Season from amazon.ca. But dude! How come no one told me how cheap the items were over there? I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Even with the shipping, it's still cheaper than, well, pretty much anywhere else - it was almost ridiculous! But in such a wonderful way that I couldn't resist, so there. Canada, je t'adore! More than usual, that is *g*

Oh the "dude" thing reminds me of something. I finally saw the French trailer for Lost! I squeed quite loud, but you're all fangirls - and fanboys - so you know the feeling. Their voices are quite nice - and Babycakes, you'll be happy to know that apparently they kept Merry's voice for DM - it just lasted a few seconds and I never really watched LotR in French so I'm not saying I'm sure... but when I heard Charlie's line, that's the dubbing that popped in my head, so... I mean, I know you won't watch it, obviously, but didn't you tell me you hoped they would give him the same voice? I think they did. Anyway, I'll tell you for sure after I watch it *bounces*

Pffft, see? You never listen to me! *hmph* I told you before about the amazon.ca thing, lol, namely when we met in Paris. ;-) But glad you finally saw the light.

Oh, and I started reading that story but of course I'm late packing (only online right now because I need to retrive contact infos, lol) but gaaaaah! I just want to be done and on the plane and reading it, damnit! :-)

Well I certainly chose a bad time not to listen to you because the amazon.ca thing would have saved me a lot of trouble a long time ago lol

You shouldn't be disappointed. Well, I wasn't - I totally fall in love with it. Hope you will too *g*

I can imagine how your one goal is to be on the damn plane lol

*twirls*

It certainly took you long enough! *g*

But yes, Hawks and Hands is just - it's a work of ART. Not even fanfic. Dira is just...totally incredible.

I'm so excited!!

Hey so not my fault! First they refused to air it again for a hundred years, then when they did at last it was on the TNT network which - woe - I don't have. Then they refused to have good torrent files... then amazon.fr refused to sell it, then amazon.uk was causing problem too, then amazon.com was so expensive that it was ridiculous and not in a funny way... so I had lots of obstacles to overcome. But thanks to amazon.ca, I'm finally going to win, yay!

And that story is art! It's... wow. Is it a classic, then? In the fandom, I mean.

that's a huge relief! about the voices I mean - not about your heart being broken by Fraser and Dief, obviously *giggles*

amazon.ca, you say? *tries to refrain from running there* *fails*

The story had a happy ending. But it was one hell of a ride - just fantastic *g*

If you haven't done it already, you should go over to [livejournal.com profile] crack_van and start reading the dS fics that have been recced there. As soon as I get a chance I'll point out some of my favourite ones, plus some that I've found elsewhere.

I'm glad the amazon.ca thing is working out to your advantage. One of these days I'll have to get over my reluctance to buy things online and start shopping there myself.

I haven't yet but I'll play a visit to [livejournal.com profile] crack_van asap. I'd still appreciate your recs, though, thanks *g*

I remember a time when I was too afraid to order anything on-line. Then one day I really wanted a book I couldn't find here and I finally jumped... and never regretted doing so *g*

It is, it truly is, I couldn't go to sleep, I needed to read it all the way. I just love it when a fic does that to me *g*
