I guess it was just a matter of time before I caught one of the two bugs that have been flying around here the past month. But I can't complain too much, if only because as far as the timing goes, this isn't so bad; I'd rather be sick now than at the end of week when we'll be heading off to London! Now, let's just hope Cookie isn't next in line, it wouldn't do for her to get sick in a couple of days omg. We might have to sleep in different rooms till our departure. And stop snogging till it's safe to do so again. I mean, it'll be tough but it's for the good cause, right? Did I mention we're spending four days in London at the end of the week?

I took advantage of my staying in bed all morning to (finally!) catch up on Community. It was high time I went back to Greendale, wasn't it? The Christmas episode might have been the most glorious Christmas episode in the history of Christmas episodes. So original and different and awesome ♥

I've been in a 'marathon' mood lately, I guess. Case in point, Cookie and I mainlined Supernatural on Saturday, we're up-to-date now! It felt so good getting back into the show. Even though, yes, quick spoilery comment )

So that was our Saturday. Sunday was more outdoorsy as Cookie and I treated ourselves to a Japanese restaurant, before going to the theater and see Karigurashi no Arietty. I liked it well enough but it won't be one of my favourites. Still, I'm happy I saw it.

Now back to my book. When it's not about sleeping, being sick is all about watching tv and reading, right?

So Miss G and I had planned on doing a little stroll in Paris today before meeting with my sister and BIL this evening to go to a mutual friend's housewarming party (we'll be eating a raclette omg, cannot wait! *salivates already*) but the weather is so grey that it kinda stole all our energy and motivation so, instead, we've been mainlining several of our shows. We're now officially up-to-date with Merlin, The Vampire Diaries and Community.

And, omg, Community 2x06 ("Epidemiology 206") was pure genius! That show is so brilliant and plays with tv-code and film-genre in such a clever and hilarious way. And the way it plays around and mocks and uses PC-ness is brilliant as well. Such a refreshing way of doing it. I'm totally in love with it ♥

Also, I thought I might stop downloading the new songs MyChem keep releasing so I wouldn't be "spoiled" entirely and be able to make some discoveries when receiving the CD but, well, the lure of new MyChem was too strong, meaning I caved in and downloaded Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back last night. I think I loved it - I say 'think' because some of those most recent songs haven't become immediately favourites, I've needed to listen them several times but I think Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back might be a new favourite in the new album.

I've felt under the weather today so apart from an errand I needed to run this morning (too early for my taste) I stayed home and just watched tv. Really unproductive day as far as RL is concerned but quite busy fannish-wise. I finished the first season of Community, which I absolutely loved; so brilliant and hilarious and cute, with a great ensemble (from students to teachers - omg, the teachers, they cracked me up like you wouldn't believe) and a plethora of pop cultulre references that couldn't fail to make me happy. I'm impatiently waiting for s2 now.

I also (finally) got back to FlashForward. I've been meaning to finish the season/series for ages and never got around to it, well, today was the day. Not the day I finished it but I think I'll stay home tomorrow too and do it then.

And I also watched the premiere of Rubicon. It intriged me enough that I'm downloading the second episode as I type. I also think it looks different (the way it's shot and all) from other shows; it's slow-paced (for now, I guess) with lot of silences and quiet moments, it doesn't try to be glamourous, it doesn't need to be shiny, it's not OTT, the melodrama is kept to a minimum (even though there're mention to 9/11), there're no flashy cars nor ultra-modern offices, there're no bimbos or pretty boys (though I find Will and Maggie attractive - just, not in a bimbo and pretty boy way) no sexy clothes... overall, the show looks low-key and introspective and more realistic somehow... Hmm, now that I think of it, it felt kinda European. And I guess it's just me, but there you go. Anyway, I'm intrigued, will watch the second episode and see where to go from there...
