Confinement Jour 5 : cuisinons ensemble

First weekend of Confinement and I was so ready for it! Work has been pretty dense the whole week and, ironically, I haven't had the opportunity yet to "appreciate" our forced downtime. As a result, I longed for a quiet weekend. I even got my wish as I was low-key hoping for a grey weekend (or at least a grey Saturday), the kind of cozy weather that encourages you to stay indoors and read and drink tea. Which is exactly what I got :) I did go out, though, as we needed some little things to complete our groceries and I'll admit that it felt awesome being out and about. I'm telling you, groceries? Most exciting thing ever right now! We also started to "study" the board game I mentioned in one of my last entries and er, I think a forty-day confinement will be just long enough for us to understand the rules lol All in all, we had a pretty chill day, which I'm going to end on an equally chill evening with an episode or two of The Leftovers, I think. Thank you again, OCS, for making your content free for now!

I have to say, tv is doing its best to keep us entertained and to keep people's morale up. A perfect example is how a network basically went and called a very known and very well-liked French chef to the rescue and had him doing a live cooking show from his home. (They didn't just ask any chef but our "feel-good" chef, one of the hosts/judges of the French version of The Great British Bake Off).

Not only that but he hosted the live stream alongside a tv host and random families and it was quite cute and uplifting :)

Baking is everyone's favourite activity right now, I don't count the number of picture of cakes I've seen on my different Whatsapp groups lol Cookie and I will add our own tomorrow, I think, as we're planning on having a little outdoor-but-actually-in-the-living-room afternoon tea and we want to treat ourselves with homemade scones ;)
