I know I cry easily in front of the tv but Cold Case is helping me break some kind of record, really. Feels like I'm in tears at the end of every single episode *wipes tears*

I'm still mourning the lack of Cold Case DVDs, btw, and will always do. It's also incredibly ironic that one of the things that makes this show so good, meaning the soundtrack, happens to be the same thing that prevents it from being released on DVDs. Life, it's funny sometimes.

Anyway. I had such a quiet and lazy weekend! After going out every day of the week after work last week, I wanted some Me time and I certainly got my wish. Awesome :-) I did run some errands but it was quickly done. I also took the time to finally do all the cleaning and vacuuming Teh Flat desperately needed. Plus some laundry and ironing.

Know what? It always amuses me that Once Upon a Time, I started using 'dude' in reference to Hurley in Lost - I thought it was an amusing and cute word and I just started using it. At the time it was 100% associated with Hurley. Now it's all about Dean and Dean only. Funny thing.

And speaking of SPN; La Trilogie du Samedi now? Numb3rs followed with Supernatural. You'd think I bribed the network or something :-) Summer hiatus might be on in the States but between N3, SPN, Lost and Cold Case every Saturday and Sunday, I do have some nice tv over here too. Sure, it's in French but I'm part of the minority that can watch dubbed shows without wanting to commit suicide. Most of the time, that is ;-)

I love Cold Case soooo much. I especially love how they work in the time specific music, which is of course the reason they'll never release it on DVD, the clearances would cost too much. I've watched some shows on DVD (Roswell, Dawson's Creek) where they changed the music so they wouldn't have to pay, and it makes such a difference, not in a good way at all.

The soundtrack is such an important part of that show! Too bad it's what prevents us from having the DVDs. It's such a sad state of affair, I would so buy every single season!

I bet it does. I would really hate it if they did something like that with Cold Case. It would kill an important part of the show.

Did you ever watch the show Wiseguy, with Ken Wahl as an undercover FBI agent? IN the finale of the first arc of season 1, they play the Moddy Blues song NIghts in White Satin, to absolutely amazing effect. I love that show so much, but I absolutely refuse to buy the DVD, because they've removed the song, and without it, the scene doesn't have nearly the same power. Such a stupid thing to do.

I watched that show when I was a kid, yeah.

Music plays such a big part in an episode/scene. Changing it has to change the mood somehow.

I know that on the DVD of Criminal Minds, they changed the music in a scene at the very beginning of the pilot and a) I was quite disappointed because I happened to really love that song and b) it changed the atmosphere a bit and it just didn't feel the same.

There was a season 2 ep of Roswell called Cry Your Name, in which Beth Orton and her song "Cry Your Name" played a large part. When they released it on DVD, they took the song out of the episode. How in the hell does that make sense?
