I've set a new record tonight! I've watched two episodes of Smallville in a row \o/ I couldn't, in good conscience, miss "Justice" - which was all kinds of awesome, I have to admit. Now I know why everyone was raving about it :-) And [livejournal.com profile] angeliksmall? I understand why you called it the Gayest Episode Ever. After that was "Labyrinth". After the fun and the ever so cheesy the angsty, twas nice.

Just now, it was our weekly two episodes of SPN - SV+SPN, I told you M6 was CW's French cousin - and it never fails to amuse me how riveted to the screen I am, even though I know exactly what is going to happen and when it's going to happen and how. I just love SPN so much that I feel the same level of pleasure each time, even after the 45412th viewing. Besides, tonight second ep was "Faith", which is still one of my most favourite episodes ever. Incidentally, on a pure shallow note, the Dean-falling-on-his-knees moment won't ever not be the sexiest thing. Even under the circumstances. I can't help it, I love that little scene.

Changing the subject. I was pretty knackered today. I was supposed to take it easy and only had an errand to run in the morning before seeing one of the Best Friends, except it spiralled out of control and instead of being home at 10.00 am I finished everything at 3.30 pm. By then I wasn't feel so good, so I bailed out and stayed home.

I snuggled in bed and watched the new Numb3rs - I really enjoyed the episode, though now I'm quite focused on the season finale because the spoilers sound like it's going to be a great ep! - and then I re-watched "Folsom Prison Blues" which I plan on watching again tomorrow. Because I can and because it's worth it *nods*

And speaking of my favourite shows; in 50mn Inside, they had a segment on Heroes. Twas fun seeing a French program talking about the phenomenon... and it also amused me because they apparently were obsessed with all those French fans who illegally download the show and I was like 'awwww, they're talking about us!' *is touched*

Yesterday was a complete waste of time - if I'd known how it'd go, I'd have gone to the signing at Album and get autographs from Jeph Loeb, Mark Miller and Zachary Quinto, believe me! - but today made up for it. The Dad, The BIL, Teacher Boy and I all went and retrieved the furniture for the living room, so now it's at the flat \o/ We followed with some more errands, all necessary but it was like running a marathon this morning.

After that they dropped me at the polling station where I voted. The rest of the family - except for my dad who can't vote - went to their own polling station - which happens to be my sister's and my former primary school, ah sweet trip down memory lane - et voilà.

Now I'm home and I have every intention of not leaving the house again; it's lazying around time!

Last night's SPN was "Home" and "Asylum". Those two episodes won't ever not be brilliant - they give me the same thrill even after the 4512th viewing. I was bouncing quietly on my bed right before The Phone Scene because it's one of my Most Favourite Scenes in SPN. I still prefer the original version but the French one didn't disappoint, and poor Dean did sound choked up too so I could use my 'oh, Dean' without problem. And then I squeed again with the last scene except that I had to cut this because it's a spoilery comment about Home, in case some of you don't actually know s1 )

And I truly am falling in love with s1!Sam. I don't know if the reason is that I've found a new appreciation for s2!Sam and therefore am seeing Sam under a different light now or if it's because of the dubbing *blink* In any case, I'm enjoying him a lot more than I did the first time around. I haven't changed my mind regarding a lot of his behaviour towards John or Dean, but still...

Okay and now, off to read in the garden. I finally finished Le 5ème Règne by Maxime Chattam - which read like a badfic to me, the kind where you have no idea why you keep reading, except maybe you'd like to know how it ends so you keep going, even though it kinda sucks - and am starting Shalimar the Clown by Salman Rushdie. I'm definitely behind in my novel reading but I'm still reading so it's okay, I guess...

Friday! Weekend! Oh how I longed for that day all week, and it's here! Nothing can beat Fridays \o/

Today was the finale of Veronica Mars s2 and since I'd never watched it before, there was no way I was going to miss it. So I made sure that I'd be home. Or okay that's a lie, what happens is that my plans with tbf!Rissy after work were cancelled. Still, I didn't complain because it meant I was home for the episode. Wow. That was some finale, all right! So many twists all around.

Also, Veronica/Logan being one of my ships, I need to ask what exactly happens to them in season 3. Spoil me?

And, of course, today also means Supernatural Friday, wheeeeeeee! The ep finished downloading and it's waiting for me. I'm curious about it - I mean I am on principle but I also want to know whether I'll be on the side of 'underwhelmed' or on the side of 'hey it was awesome!' Usually the divide isn't that obvious so I wonder what the fuss is about.

Still on the subject of SPN. [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt did a little Alphabet Meme where you 'describe something, anything in 26 words, in alphabetical order.' I went with Dean because, well, this is me we're talking about? ;-) Here is my response:

Abandonment. Brother. Cocky. Damaged. Efficient. Family. Gorgeous. Handful. Impala. Jest. Killer. Loyal. Motherless. Naughty. Obedient. Protective. Quest. Rock. Sacrifice. Tired. Unity. Vulnerable. Warrior. Xrated. Yearning. Zero tolerance for evil.

I've seen some pretty clever responses where the girls actually made a couple of linked sentences with the words, thus writing a sort of drabble out of the whole thing. Dude, that's all kinds of brilliant because I already had trouble finding some words for a couple of the letters. For some others I had a plethora of ideas. Like the 's' for instance where I thought of Sam. Soldier. Solitude. Salt. Slut etc... But I had to pick one and so went with 'sacrifice.'

PS: Am watching Pirates of Silicon Valley and it's all kinds of brilliant! Bill Gates v. Steve Jobs! Johnny Smith v. Doctor Carter! History of Apple and Microsoft! ♥ ♥
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Default)
I've just watched the second episode of The Black Donnellys and, oh flist, it ROCKS MY WORLD! It's official, dude, I'm completely in love with that show. It's gritty and rough and edgy and the love between the characters is intense and fucked-up and it's gorgeous too and just - hee omg I have so much love for the whole thing *squishes brand new show*

Also, okay, so my love for Tommy can't be expressed into words and I already loved Kevin by the end of the premiere, but he killed me dead in that episode and I think, I think that I might be loving Kevin even more than I am Tommy and, wow, that's saying something. It's just funny because the pilot made me fall in love with Tommy and then Kevin joined him but after 1x02, I don't know, there's something about Kevin that makes him #1 in my heart as of right now. Which means Tommy is #1b. Except.. a very close 'b' - as it happens, I sorta kinda feel disloyal to him by putting him in a second place... or let's just say they're both #1? Hee I can't choose omg! And I'm cutting the rest because it'll contain spoilers )

So the episode filled me with glee because after the premiere I kinda had some high expectations but I was so not disappointed ♥ ♥

And now still on the subject of my favourite shows, but for the French part of my flist: so apparently SPN should premiere on M6 the 24th of March - dans la Trilogie du Samedi. Hee SPN on my telly! And apparently we should get the French R2 in June... with the same extras as R1. I'm not sure I'll wait that long, though the idea of getting the show in French, English and Italian is quite attractive :-) I'll see. The extra-less box set will be released by the end of May - in two volumes *makes face* - but I don't see the point of the extra-less thing so no way is that box set for me *nods*

Dude! Last night I dreamt that someone had their baby and this morning when I checked my mail, I'd received a message from one of my Former Colleagues telling me that she'd had her daughter this morning at 3.54 am *is a Seer omg* Man, this is so cool! The Other F-Colleagues and I will visit them next week *is excited*

Onto the fannish: I could write a real review on Heroes but somehow I just want to say AND THE PETRELLIS WIN AGAIN! If you know of the Petrellis, you'll know what it is that they won again. Incidentally, as much as I worship the Winchesters, they have a lot of to learn from the Petrellis. And speaking of our SPN boys - my 100% spoiler free policy has been shot to hell this season; I've checked out the stills for 2x14 and DUDE! Yes, that's all I have to say about it. And I'm, of course, extremely impatient for tonight's episode. Except apparently I'll have to wait till Saturday to watch it instead of Friday because we're doing an FP Slumber Party over at [livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer's with [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi and we'll watch the episode together and it's all kinds of brilliant because watching SPN on your own isn't half great as watching it with other fangirls, but eek waiting a whole day to do so? Is gonna be torture!

The second episode of The Dresden Files didn't do anything for me. Twas weird, actually. I still have that latest Psych to watch. Plus one 'episode' of Mythbusters that I downloaded last week.

I've also been reading a lot of Batman/Superman fics the past week - thanks for the recs, I've kinda fallen in love with [livejournal.com profile] jen_in_japan's stories - and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sockich I now have Justice League and Superman/Batman sitting on my HD and all of that contributed to my purchasing the DVDs of Superman Returns and Batman Begins. Easy, thy name is Mousey. It's funny because I've always thought Batman rocked better, considering he has no superpowers to speak of and thus is the real superhero, but I fell in love with the Superman films when I was a little kid - and never really got into the Batman ones - so seeing Superman Returns was truly awesome. Sandrine was right when she told me back then that I could watch the film without real fear. She's the one I trust about Superman, it's our thing. Also, my favourite Superman was always the hurty kind with the Kryptonite so I let you guess what my favourite part of the film can be ;-)

Dude!

So, I'm still in Vitry. I had a wooooonderful and relaxing day today. First I slept in and then I spent the whole day cruising the internets and reading - Lost Souls is really awesome and intense, I'm so glad I followed Azh's advice - and I also watched some Chinese tv - freebox tv is l.o.v.e. Then The BIL came home from work and he'd bought me some donuts! Almost the same kind you get in Dunkin Donut, which made me squee. It was so sweet of him ♥ ♥ ♥ It was also pretty yummy *smacks lips*

I'll go back to Choisy tomorrow but I'm enjoying my fake!holidays :-) Also, this morning when I woke up, it felt a bit like a trip down memory lane... like all those times we slept at my grandparents'. Obviously the decor is different but it's still the same, anyway... and the big garden was a lovely sight, too.

On the fannish side; I think it was [livejournal.com profile] sori1773 who recc'ed a Batman/Flash series. Even though I'm not into comics, each time the Justice League airs I try to catch it - I say try because they have the tendency to air that series on the weekend too early in the morning - and my faves are Batman, Superman and the Flash. So I decided to give it a go and I was inspired, the story was brilliant! Made me want to see the whole thing all over again, too. Or read the comics, actually. I might have sent an email to someone about that *looks not so innocently in [livejournal.com profile] sockich's direction*

If someone has some Batman/Flash or Superman/Batman - or Batman/Superman, I don't know which way the pairing goes - to rec, I would love to hear about it, btw...

And onto SPN now. First, mandatory SPN squee because today is Thursday which means tomorrow is SPN Friday, wheee! Second, did you know of [livejournal.com profile] dudemeter? Cause I didn't but I'm glad [livejournal.com profile] red_tanger mentioned it because it's just the kind of obsessive funny things fans do and that I adore. And then someone did an awesome vid about that habit of Dean's - and dude it's all kinds of brilliant. I love that show and its fans ♥ ♥

I'm watching Grey's Anatomy right now and I have some quick thoughts about Jeffrey Dean Morgan and some of his roles, let's say spoilers for GA and SPN )

And speaking of GA, is Callie going to stay? Because I'm slowly falling in love with her - incidentally I'm also finding myself a new ship.

Unrelated now, after work tomorrow - and if everything goes according to plan - I'm going to see Bernard Werber again! His latest book is being released tomorrow and he's doing a signing in Paris and Sandra and I will try to attend. That would be all kinds of awesome as he's one of those authors whose novels I have to buy each time they come out. The alternative would be unthinkable. So let's hope it'll work out.

I'm kinda very tired and it's gonna get worse throughout the next three months and I might whine every now and then but hopefully I won't get too annoying... we'll see *rubs eyes tiredly*
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Au hustler!Jensen / me)
Oh man! Have you seen those pics of Jensen Ackles? And what about that one?! )

The icon that goes with it - courtesy of myself [I realised I preferred the original colouring so I made one myself] - has been called AU hustler!Jensen. Because, seriously!

I didn't have the time to watch "In My Time of Dying" again today - just got home - but I intend to do just that tonight. After the new Numb3rs that is. Also, I've been thinking of the premiere a lot today - had to talk about it to Sandra - and I'm so happy with the way they dealt with the whole thing that I'm still giddy about it. Cut because I have the feeling it'll become less general and more spoilery. ) In conclusion, that premiere really exceeded all my expectations and I'm still completely in love. More than usual, I mean :-)

I'm debating downloading the promo for next episode that I've seen on my flist now... I think I want to go into it completely spoiler-free, without even the slightest bit of knowledge about it, but at the same time... oh the temptation! We'll see if I can resist lol

Oh and back to Numb3rs, btw, the ficathon has gone live and you can find some of the stories already posted over here. Lots of goodies in perspective :-)

And this has nothing to do with anything but I was watching The Simpsons just now and there was a song that I really like but don't have anywhere on my HD so I was wondering if my ever so helpful flist could come to my rescue once again, please? It's California - I think - by Phantom Planet. Thanks in advance.

Okay now, off to check the flist a little, then tonight when I'm back home again Numb3rs followed with Supernatural and then if I feel awake enough, I'll try Jack and Bobby - hopefully I'll like it as I have the whole season sitting on my HD.
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Papa Winchester / mumbly_mumpy)
I've just had a long soak while reading some Sinfest and I'm all mellow now *stretches lazily* I've also watched the last episode of Grey's Anatomy s2 because apparently s3 has started already and I didn't want to be so behind that I wouldn't know what happened exactly in the season finale, so I'm all set now.

Also, that episode did stuff to me - spoiler inside. )

Next in line, Criminal Minds! And then tomorrow, oh tomorrow! It will be all kinds of awesome because I'll finally get my Eppes boys back! *is full of love*

Oh btw, unrelated now, but I meant to say: LJ has been messing around with me the past week and I've only sporadically received my comment notifications so if I didn't answer one of your comments, even though you think I should have, ie you asked something to me and all that, can you let me know, please? I can easily track those posted on my own journal but on my flist? It's a bit more complex seeing that I'm sometimes a bit chatty. I think I have at least two comments lost somewhere where I'm supposed to give some kind of answers...

What else? Oh, SPN is coming back in less! than! a! week! But I think everyone knows that by now :-) Which, btw, if you dislike SPN? I really feel for you cause it feels like everybody is having the SPN crazies this week lol Or maybe it's just on certain flists... who knows? If you ask me, I'd say that the whole LJ World is full of SPN fans but that might be because I have that kind of lj buddies, you know? *loves her SPN oriented flist*

I've had a family heavy weekend; on Sat we had a Cousinade - a cousin gathering we make each year where fifty-ish of us meet for a whole day. It's on a) my grandmother's side and b) my mother's side.

We always have the best of time and saturday was no exception. We also made some discoveries about our family thanks to JY, the life partner of my cousin Bernard. JY is addicted to genealogy and for The Esu's wedding offered to do one for this side of our family. Since a genealogist' work is never done, he'd investigated further and so we discovered some new things about our family's past - going back to the sixteenth century...

Then today we celebrated my cousin Julien's birthday and we got some wonderful news, namely that Emilie and he are engaged! Awesome news :-)

And now I'm lazying around lj and finding some little gems. Like a Paley Festival download. Dude, it's the first time I can see it in its entirety and, among other things, I don't think the whole 'nc-17' convo will ever not be funny and almost unbearably sweet. Ah, Jensen, you're just too adorable for words. And Jared cracks me up too. You boys are love, it's as simple at that.

Speaking of the boys and love and all things perverted - not that I was thinking perverted thoughts but it's still where I ended - [livejournal.com profile] eloise_bright did it again, she wrote another J3 spanking fic with Jeff spanking Jensen while Jared watches and, man, if you're not into that sorts of things just pretend I never said anything, but if you are? Oh run, do not walk to her journal and let her fry your brain.

I can't get enough of spanking in fics - I CANNOT! Maybe I'll go and re-read [livejournal.com profile] maaaaa's TS stories tonight, it'll certainly help me quash my hunger *tabs tabs*

ETA: Hey, wanna catch a glimpse of SPN in French? It's possible! Just go to [livejournal.com profile] lerefuge's journal. And so, for those of us French fangirls who wondered about it, yes, they kept Jensen Ackles' regular dubber. And also, BLOODY HELL but if the whole thing has already been dubbed in French, why the hell isn't the series airing here? It's airing in Canada first. Dude, talk about unfair!
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Sinful / crazybutsound)
God, each time you think you've seen all the best promo shots for SPN - here for s2 - some new ones come up and you realise you were really naive. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mrscutedean for pointing them out to me :-)

Speaking of SPN - which seems to be the subject by default these days - I have this fic I've been wanting to write for the longest time - well, seems that way to me, at any rate - and even though only pieces of dialogues have been written down I already have a title in mind... which might sound a bit obscure when compared with the fic itself. And I was wondering, when you pick a title, do you try to make it easy for the reader to see a link between aforementioned title and the fic or do you just pick the title that came to you, even if you think you'll be the only one to get it? As long as it's clear to you why you picked it, it's all right?

Titles are always a difficult matter to me; either I'll know what it is even before finishing the fic or it'll drive me crazy and coming up with one will prove even more difficut than writing the actual story.

And still on the subject of SPN - so I'm obsessed, so sue me *cough* - I've checked out the DVDs over at amazon.com and am I right in thinking that it's only 35€? Everything included, ie the DVDs, the taxes and the shipping? Or did I miss something somewhere? Cause if that's right, that's so ridiculously cheap that I'm not sure I'll be able to resist long, region 2 be damned! A celles qui ont acheté le coffret sur amazon.com, vous avez payé combien, finalement ? En euro, je veux dire *g*
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Oh Noes / dekolette)
I knew it had to happen sooner or later, and I was definitely hoping it would be sooner rather than later: Inevitable by [livejournal.com profile] seraphina20, Mahone/Michael. I so can't wait to see the fandom run with that pairing *bounces*

Also I caved in! I watched the promo for the SPN s2 premiere. It's just that I've never really seen promos as spoilers as such - it's only a small glimpse of something that might happen, but it's always done in such a way that you can never know what truth lies behind the scenes you see and, I don't know, a picture taken from the episode will spoil it for me but not a promo because if the latter is teasing me, the former would be telling too much *shrug* So anyway I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT PREMIERE! Which is pretty redundant since I couldn't before but now I can wait even less.

If you haven't watched aforementioned promo of love and feel like caving in too? Be my guest - I uploaded it over at YSI | zip file. 5.21 MB

Sam? You did tell me you wanted to watch it, right? Cause I really need you to...

Speaking of Sam; yesterday when we went to Starbucks, I promised her I'd upload my American God audiobook and since she's downloading it it's safe to share it with you as well, so if you want to give it a go, it's over at FileFactory. It's the first time I use that site, btw, dunno yet whether it'll become a habit...

Step 1. Click here | Step 2. Scroll down and click on "Download for free with FileFactory basic" | Step 3. Scroll down a bit and the link for the d/l should be here.

I'd still tell you to buy the book for this is Neil Gaiman and everyone should have his books in their possession, but an audiobook might be nice as a) an addition or b) a temporary thing. Free stuff is always of the good, what can I say.
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (Papa Winchester / mumbly_mumpy)
[sings] Pas le choix faut y aller, oh oohh, dis leur que j'ai pas le temps, on fait des plans pour s'en sortir / J'ai pas le temps, mon espriiit, vise ailleuuuurs [/sings]

Argh, I have the bloody song stuck in my head since last night! But the worst is that it's definitely growing on me. Faf Larage, I so hate you!

Okay so Prison Break? Has its very own French opening credits. Seriously it did surprise me because they just don't do that anymore, add their own touch to an opening credits. But apparently PB was an exception so we got our very own version. A rap song. With lyrics! Yeah, I don't know either. But it must have some addictive qualities because did I mention the singing since last night? *sigh*

As a matter of fact, I even tried finding the file on-line but it's proving to be quite difficult so, for now, I haven't been lucky, but thanks to YouTube we can still have a little fun. So. If you want to know what the French opening credit is about, you can! Note though that this isn't the aforementioned opening credit per se, it's the clip video that was made for the song, for it is a real song, sung by Faf Larage. The video does have clips from the actual show, though. No, seriously, it's all kinds of fun, go on, have a look. If you're brave enough!

[ETA: [livejournal.com profile] sockich came to my rescue! And since I'm mean that way, I'm going to share the song.]

And speaking of having a look, omg I'm torn! So there's a new SPN s2 promo going around and this is torture! I mean, I want to remain spoiler free but is a promo really spoilery? I mean, they usually show you stuff that just never happens the way you think and, like, WHAT DO I DO? But I'm thinking, okay, I succeeded in not clicking on any of the gazillion cuts my flist made so far that pertained to s2 - which, btw, those cuts? Thanks, I love you for that *g* - so why break the cycle now, right? Why do I torture myself so? *wails*

Oh, back to Prison Break last night? I'm enchanted because in the course of the three episodes, Michael was called 'gueule d'ange' 'beau gosse' and 'beauté' - I think the nicknames will work for me, though I'm hoping 'beauté' won't be used that much because it just doesn't ring the same at all *makes a face* But 'gueule d'ange' and 'beau gosse'? Yeah, I'm all for that.

Oh bis, JDM was on the telly last night! I had a monster headache and went to bed early but couldn't sleep so I put the tv on anyway and there were two guys speaking on the screen and I immediately recognised one of them cause it was PAPA WINCHESTER! Yes, just like that. The series is one that really doesn't do it for me - The Handler - but I couldn't not watch because that kind of guest star makes it all better. Or not, but let's just say it was a good thing he was on so many scenes...
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (I Need You Dad / tinamishi)
Wedding D-4 - we're not running like headless chickens because we all know what we have to do but we're certainly running anyway because, well, there are lots of things to do yet. Not so much for the wedding itself this time though as everything is pretty much done but for the days that will precede aforementioned wedding since we'll have a bunch of assorted family members that will come from Italy and the south of France; it should be interesting! Today is Last Shopping Day, tomorrow is Cleaning Day - both the house and my grandparents' house - in the morning and afternoon and Dinner in the Honour of The Esu's with nine members of the Clan and three Outsiders in the evening, dinner organised by me, btw. Thursday is actually free since a) Babycakes is coming over and b) we'll have a French Posse Meeting and Friday is Family Arrival.

Anyway.

I still haven't had the time to do my much needed SPN marathon but last night I thought enough was enough so I put "Home" on. God, that episode? Is LOVE. Dean's wibble face, Dean's trembling voice, Dean's Phone Call, Dean's - well, promise I'm not going to wax poetry about Dean in that episode but I totally could because he broke my heart and made me melt and just - I LOVE DEAN SO MUCH OMG! So it wasn't the marathon but it was a lovely little fix, at least *pets self*

Tonight I'll try to watch The 4400 3x04, though this will have to be after the match because we're gonna watch France v Spain first, of course. I also need to download the latest Doctor Who but this will wait. I'm thinking I'm just going to stock all the things I want to watch, pile them up, then when the wedding is over and when every single member of the Famiglia is gone, I'll indulge myself and OD on tv shows *nods*

Oh and I found something new to download, btw. Or try, at least. Psych sounds like a lot of fun. It could be nice :-) Oh and I also have the pilot of Twitch City to try too. It's sitting on my HD at the moment.

Now though, I'm gonna laze around on lj and bask in the fuckedupness that is SPN incest fic and stuff. Yay!
castalie: If you know who made this icon, please tell me so that I can properly credit? Tia (What Would Dean Do / hannibal_murder)
Apparently I'm a danger to my family when I'm in show withdrawal. This morning during breakfast I kinda completely talked their ears off with SPN and the Phone Call scene in "Home" and "Devil's Trap" and, well, Dean of course. Dean and John and Sam. And I was also witness to a pretty funny convo between Mom and Dad about the Winchesters:

Mom: So Sam left? But he wanted a normal life, that's understandable.
Dad: What? He's selfish! He should have stayed with Ron-
Me: John.
Dad: With John. And Dean. Is that Dean?
Me: *nods*
Dad: *to Mom* I'm sure you would have left us to go to College too.
Mom: *looks mean* I certainly would have.

Ha! Mom is a Sam girl and Dad is a Dean girl. I mean boy, he's a Dean boy.

Speaking of the Winchesters, I come bearing another rec, by [livejournal.com profile] janissa11 this time, namely Epiphany. Another punch-in-the-guts kinda fic. God, there truly are some amazing authors in SPN fandom, aren't there? It's gen, it's John and the boys, but it contains rape so heed the warnings if you want to check it out. I worship Em, I have to say - each time she writes a new SPN fic, I'm completely in love.

Changing the subject, though it's still tv related: last night La Globule and I ate early and then proceeded to make one with the couch as we watched several series in a row; including Due South, which he didn't know about. I was also thrilled because it was the first part of "Victoria's Secret". It was fun seeing his reactions actually - he seemed pretty taken with the whole thing. Score!

It'd been some time since I'd watched that episode and, man, I don't think it'll ever not be a fantastic episode! There are so many wonderful scenes I don't know which one to pick as my favourite, though one that kinda blew me away was the Confessional scene. It's such an incredible moment! And it was shot beautifully, wow.

Then it was a little Simpsons session, followed with two episodes of a new series - new for us, that is - namely Keen Eddie. It was fun. And the characters are quite endearing. La Globule and I will investigate further, I think.

And this doesn't have anything to do with anything but Sinfest CRACKS ME UP SO MUCH!

Remember when I recc'ed The Ice is Thin SPN post-finale fic? Well lookit there's a follow-up *points right* Underneath my Lucid Skin and it hurts as good as the previous fic does. It's powerful and heartbreaking, and I'm completely in love with those two stories!

And seriously - silent!Dean? Is so one of my kinks. Silent!character - due to trauma or whatever - is in general but silent!Dean is definitely at the top of the list. Also, I adore the fact that John's diary actually mentions that kind of thing. How little!Dean didn't talk for a while. And see, those diaries, you can see them as canon pieces or not. It was never mentioned in the show per se, but it's supposedly in the diary Johns owns, so, really, it's up to you to decide what to do with that piece of information. And the point isn't whether it is canon or not, the point is whether you want it to be. Life is complicated enough, at least this isn't. If you want it, you take it, if you don't, you leave it. The End. And I know I kinda see it as a canon source. As in, when I look at Dean, I integrate the whole silence into his past and what makes him what he is now - because it's too beautifully angsty for me not to take into account.

Speaking of SPN, I watched "Devil's Trap" again yesterday - needed to reward myself for sticking with Finkielkraut, see? - and I don't think I'll ever tire of that episode. Like ever! )

[livejournal.com profile] tallisen asked her flist to make a list of all SPN episodes, from favourite to least favourite and I would need to watch them all again to be able to choose - oh the chore! *rolls eyes* - but off the top of my head, I think the top of the list would look like this:

1. The Journey Home
2. Devil's Trap
3. Faith

Then it would get a bit complicated because between "Asylum", "Salvation", "Something Wicked" and "Dead Man's Blood" I would need to, like, torture myself into picking an order. Though wait, the least favourite episode? Would be "Wendigo".

Look, "Devil's Trap" is haunting me. I'm possessed or I don't know what! I think a little exorcism is needed in the form of a little picspam. Which, btw, I wonder how many piscpams this episode will provoke lol But I know I couldn't resist either ;-)

Devil's Trap piscpam - mostly Dean, okay I admit )

I'll be able to rest now. Maybe *twitch*

Finally new SPN tonight yay! And a lot of SPN meta on my flist as well on my flist's flist - that was interesting to see, all the different perceptions of the characters. Of course you have the annoying fans who seem to think they know best and who apparently have a problem assimilating the concept of People Having Different Tastes and it Being Okay but that's fandom for you, I guess.

As for me, re:the whole Is Sam Selfish Because He Wants a Normal Life, I'd say that no, I don't think he is. Or if it is selfishness, I couldn't hold it against him. )

Unrelated now, though December is my favourite time of the year - despite the stress of the Winter Job - I've always had a soft spot for May. For pretty selfish reason too since it's Birthday Time and all :-) Yeah. Anyway. I love May but this May seems to love me a lot too. Just look: Numb3rs is coming out on DVD and then Supernatural is too AND Life on Mars as well. So it'd seem that they advanced the release date - significantly too considering it was supposed to come out in October. Mind you, amazon seems stuck in January, 2007 so it's even bigger news. And all the extras are LOVE!

Unrelated again, after my writing spree of last month, I've felt like the muse had abandoned me, but some of them came back recently, namely my TS ones. I worked on Even Trade - the prequel to my Night series? - and I've added a couple of scenes to make it flow a bit better. Well, that's what I was aiming at, at any rate ;-) It's at my beta's right now so we'll see it does serve the purpose *hopes* And then today, guess what? Come on, guess! I actually started writing my [livejournal.com profile] ts_ficathons' story! I'm 600 words into it which is a miracle because I was already planning on backing out. I'm not saying I'll finish the story - so that I don't jinx myself and also because I just don't know whether I will finish it - but at least I found an idea and started playing with it. I think I did good when I decided to forget about the books I'd picked previously - obviously they weren't working. So I did a new search - had a blast going through all the new Harlequin titles - and finally found something to work with. Thank you! We'll see how far it goes *fingers crossed*

Exam Week officially started and I'm so not in the right head space for it it's not even funny. I've been tired with a lot of things since October and I'm thinking of making some changes but dude, it's making me cranky. Well, not cranky cranky, just Mouse cranky so it's done quietly without much of a fuss but still...

Yeah anyway, I still had fun today, including a little VM watching between exam #1 and visit to one of The Best Friends.

So! I'm almost done with the first season of Veronica Mars. I'm two episodes away from the season finale. After that, I'll wait for [livejournal.com profile] greedy_dancer to burn the first part of s2 :-) But it also means that I might manage to catch up with the second part of s2 soon enough. I'll certainly download the new episodes so that I can start watching them as soon as I catch up with the missing ones.

No review or anything on my part, just the same thoughts as before: I love Veronica, I love Logan - I might even be kinda rooting for Veronica/Logan, but that's only in canon, as usual, cause fanon I'm all for Weevil/Logan - I love Keith. I'm quite taken with Wallace and Mac - oh and Meg as well. Duncan now... well, Duncan leaves me cold, I'm afraid. It's like he's here... but not. He's kinda transparent to me.

See? Still no VM icons nor long ass reviews. I can be a normal viewer, ie the kind that watches a show without obsessing over it. I mean... a normal viewer can watch a whole season in less than three days... right? Know what? Don't answer that - I don't want my illusions to be shattered.

I'll even change the subject and do that little SPN meme: the Name Three Things You'd Like to See Happen in the Show - and we're talking about the kind that can happen for real, nothing coming straight from the perverted imagination of a dirty little slasher.

So okay, three things...

1- I want to see John, Sam and Dean reunited. With physical contact. Actually, I'll take John and Dean but I guess it wouldn't be fair to let Sam out of it, so yeah I want to see them face each other. Technically, this should totally happen. So what I really want then is for John to hug the hell out of his boys - in particular Dean.

2- I want something that has to do with Faith so this is a spoiler )

3- I want a flashback of the Winchester family when they were together: I'm talking John and the boys. Either when Sam and Dean were little kids or when they were older, but I want me some flashbacks. Incidentally, I'm still waiting for that flashback in Numb3rs, I'm just sayin'.

So I finally watched the new Numb3rs and, each time I go back to it after a hiatus, it's like I'm falling in love all over again. I mean, even though there was nothing special about the plot, ie no Edgy or stuff like that, I tremendously enjoyed the episode because man, the Eppes scenes were so fucking awesome!

So okay on to the spoilery part of the review: Numb3rs 2x12 - The OG )

Oh yes, it was good getting my new Numb3rs fix *happy sigh*

And btw, [livejournal.com profile] enigel I received your card! Thank you, girl *kisses* And dude, this is yet another reason why I'm quite impatient to get the show on M6 :-) I hope the schedule will agree with both of us, too.

Now on something a bit different - except not if we follow a certain pattern - I watched the latest promo for "Scarecrow" - ie remember the very last second of "Asylum"? Well this was the extended scene - and I have one thing to say.

Comment on the extended scene in the promo, ie spoilers for Scarecrow )

I want to see "Scarecrow" like whoa! Not as much as I want to see "Faith" maybe, but it's pretty close!
