Hey look at my new icon! So very fitting, isn't it? It's been made by eyesthatslay and if I were you, I'd run like the wind to her journal because she made a ton of Hobbies and Interest icons and they're all gorgeous and classy. Also, look at her journal banner, it's love!

This icon also gives me the right to mention my last infatuation, namely Criminal Minds, and allows me to squee a little because there's a new episode tonight, right? And also because iscaris is being quite generous again and spoiling her flist and I might bask in the CM love again in about.. maybe thirty minutes? Yes. I'm also quite impatient to check my mailbox tomorrow, a parcel will be waiting for me, maybe?

Speaking of downloads, SendSpace is turning against us it seems... it now has limited uploads to 300MB *isn't happy* How do they want us to illegally share our illegal copies of tv shows, man! You'd think they're trying to tell us something *rolls eyes*

Today has been a good day! First my Babycakes called and we talked and talked and - well, it was mostly me, actually, but I needed to tell her many things and, as usual, talking to her made me feel a lot better *loves* Then I received one of the two responses I was waiting for today and it was good news so it made me feel even better. I wish the second response had come too so I could feel 100% relieved but we might have to wait til tomorrow to know. Well, at least what we got today was lovely :-)

Also, I committed fic! Of the SPN persuasion... and slash, yay! I mean, I truly enjoyed writing my gen piece but, you know, slash! Sam and Dean naked in a bed, whee! So okay, I'll send the fic to my Beta Extraordinaire anyway, but see the woman has a lot on her plate already and she's pretty busy so I was wondering if someone would be willing to make a first beta for me? I'd need someone who a) likes slash b) enjoys incest or isn't squicked by it c) is a pro at grammar and spelling and stuff and d) preferably knows Supernatural so that they can tell me whether it works or not, though I'll be happy with a) b) and c) *g* Anyone? Please?

1- My taskbar is on the left of the screen. Seeing it at the bottom makes me sad, therefore Clark has his taskbar on the left. Charlie doesn't - for reasons of his own, he has so far stubbornly refused to let me move the fucking taskbar. And it hurts seeing it there. I'm still trying to do something about it.

2- My desktop isn't cluttered either. Most of my folders: Fanfics, WIPs, Media, Music, Whatever are in Folder 0 named "Y A Tout Là Dedans" which means "There's Everything In There" because there's everything in there.

3- I love sub!folders. My fanfics in particular. Each fandom has a folder and each folder has TONS of sub!folders. I'll give you a little TS sample: "alpha!Jim" "amnesia" "ghost stories" "hurt!Blair" "jealous!Jim" "sniffing" "mental anguish" "threesome" "moresome" etc etc etc...

4- My folders are either in English or in French, so you'll find: "Ma Musique" next to "Writing" and "Y a Tout Là Dedans" next to "Clark's Media" etc...

And I suppose I have others but my mind is going blank now, so that'll do :-)

So. I finally installed Sims2 on Charlie as Clark refused to play. I should have done it months ago - literally - but there you go. Anyway, I installed the thing and started playing immediately. My first family? The Ellison-Sandburgs. See, I thought taking an already married couple could help me a bit. Also, I made them move in Zarbville [dunno the English equivalent, maybe Freaktown or something?] because that way, if Jim does weird things, he'll just fit right in! Their house definitely needs new stuff but now that I have the cheat code I wanted, I'll be able to give them everything they desire. And yes, I'm the kind of player who uses cheat codes, so what? *defiant look*

It started so well - sim!Jim was hitting on sim!Blair and sim!Blair was definitely enjoying it. To the point where they kept hugging til yes! They finally kissed! Too bad I didn't think of taking snapshots of them. Next time, I promise. Well, if there is a next time because as soon as Lou and Technicien 9 - or whatever Green Guy's name is - arrived, things started to get a little more difficult. Well, it's Jim and Blair, all right!

Anyway, I'm having fun lol

Remember the "Scarecrow" thing of yesterday? So after talking with a girl on my flist and watching the promo I can officially say that, yes, I did change my mind and I can't wait for "Scarecrow" - even if, of course, "Faith" is still #1 in my heart. I mean, #1 in the Not Aired Yet Episode list and all.

Dude! I've fallen victim to the Cough of Doom. From Hell. Like 70% of my flist it seems. But seriously, it's been quite a long time since it happened. Ouch.

So yesterday I worked all night. Made good money too. And no, I'm not trying to do some live research for my "Night" series, thanks ;-) I was Coat Hanger girl. Fascinating work as you can imagine. But a) money and b) more money as we got tips. Not that much, but still, 11€ each is 11€, right? The soirée started well and ended... ( not so well )

Woke up - because of my lungs trying to find their way out of my body - at 9.00 am, which means I slept around four hours so er you can trust me when I say I won't do anything too strenuous today lol

Actually I plan on snuggling in bed and a) watching the new Numb3rs then b) catching up on Lost. I have most of the episodes ready to be watched so I'll do that today, methinks. Nice Sunday program :-)

And what the hell, since I'm pimping rhianne, I should do it properly and mention her vids as well - she did some of the best TS vids in the fandom.

Two years ago - and that post just cracked me up considering how very much addicted I became - I learnt from Babycakes that they were going to open their first Starbucks in Paris. Babycakes and Starbucks in the same post: two of my favourite things on the whole galaxy! How cool was that entry, really? I also watched several episodes of Oz after what seems to have been quite a long time and I rambled about Toby and Chris and Beecher/Keller and I even made a comparison between school boys and the inmates - because apparently I could? Yeah.

One year ago I had a wonderful time with the parental unit at the Sénart forest and I was thrilled because I'd started my sentinelsecrets story. I also talked about how much Babycakes and I loved Lost and how we'd watched the premiere - how sweet is that, it was the very beginning of our Lost Obsession! - at the same time, ie while both chatting on Y!M. Man, good times! I also decided that it would be a good thing if I went into the series spoiler-free. Smart girl *pets self* I also watched the ER episode "Freefall" and got traumatised because of it.

Nine months ago, I discovered Blair's former lover - namely Declan Dunn - and got into a new geeky show. It never turned into a Favourite Show but it was still enjoyable enough that I didn't miss it on Saturdays *g* I also claimed my non-surprise at the LFMA results.

Six months ago I played with that funny meme - well, I thought it was funny - where people from your flist asked you questions to which you replied but without including the original questions. And I got carried away with my answers - as per usual. It also amuses me to no end that x5_536 sekrit question was "Why should I watch Numb3rs" - seeing how the girl loves the show now, you'd never think she actually needed to be encouraged to try it :-)

Three months ago I whined talked about my plans that had been cancelled. I changed my layout - to the version I'm still using - and I was slowly getting used to it. I found a very amusing Firefly Photo Essay which I linked to because I'm nice like that. And I also claimed that I needed the 100 icons soon because I only had "Essential Icons" left and deleting them was torture. Yeah well, that way, you know it was my entry and no one else's lol

PS: I can't believe no one from my flist - bar one, I think - watched the season premiere of Desperate Housewives. Or if you did, I missed it. But right this minute, it feels like my flist is DH-challenged and that's so wrong *pout* Hey, catiadoodle? Won't you post a little something? Or email me your impressions on the premiere? Dude! Life on-line is full of surprises, wow. So last night I had a craving for some nice M7 slash - happens to me every now and then. Don't know why it happens, it just does. I chose at random and picked The Years Between by TrueEnough which turned out to be wonderful. So it definitely put me in the mood for more. Anyway, I'm cruising the site, poking around and I find this "Download" section at the bottom of the page and I'm thinking, "hey nice, I'll download some vids" - vids are the next best thing when you can't watch the show, right? So I click and holy shit Batman they're not vid downloads! Nope. They're episode downloads! Well okay, there's just one but still! I couldn't believe my luck, really. I thought it was a sham or something - yes, I'm Fox Mulder's lost sister, that is, the other one, why do you ask?

So I did download the episode, namely "One Day Out West", and turns out it wasn't a sham or anything - it was the real episode. I, Mousey Mouse, watched an episode of The Magnificent Seven. Boggles the mind.

My impression? Boy westerns crack me up! You gotta love a genre where stereotype isn't just a word, it's a way of life and where predictable lines aren't even a way of life, they're... well, there's no word for what they are. Well, it's a western, anyway. Though if you think I didn't like what I saw, you'd be mistaken. I did like it - plus hey, I was a fan of the movies when I was a kid, though that doesn't mean anything, granted - and it was really good finally seeing Vin and Chris and the others in the flesh - well, you know what I mean. I sure wish WhoeverUploadedTheEpisode uploaded more now because it's tough when you had a taste of something and you know you might not taste it again.

Also, I just love how Vin and Chris seem to always find their way into each other's space. I mean, one scene you have the whole gang Doing Their Thing, the next everyone left except for Vin who's suddenly standing close to Chris. Or you'll have a scene with the whole gang Doing Their Thing and the next, everyone left except for Chris who's suddenly standing close to Vin. Theirloveissopositional.

Flist - I'm going to fire some of you! So last night I followed a link provided by aswanargent - and okay, I could have been watching Farscape instead of going clickety-click but I do have a good explanation, which I'll spare you because man, I'm already digressing right this second and this could turn into a novel before you even realise I had a point to make! - and I found myself - yes, I'm back to the original sentence, now - over at cesperanza's LJ where I decided to spend some time. So I'm going through her posts, minding her my own business when WAIT A MINUTE, what the hell is that? What? I'll tell you what - or else I wouldn't be writing this entry. That was a brand new Dead Zone story! And not any kind of DZ story, guys - which would have been beautiful in and of itself already btw, because, like, the DZ fandom? Doesn't exactly crawls under fics, you know *hugs scifiroots some for her own contribution* No, it was another Walt/Johnny - my second OTP in that series - and it was 200k long! I thought I was gonna cry.

Actually, I did think I was gonna cry because turns out it was also het - read, not in flashback but as part of the main storyline - and I'm afraid I'm quite single-minded as far as DZ threesome is concerned, ie I'm all for the Bruce/Johnny/Walt hotness but replace Bruce by Sarah and it doesn't have the same flavour. So when it's a sorta ménage à trois with Sarah, well, it just wasn't the same. I do like her character - and actually like her with Walt in canon - but fanon my Johnny only belong to a) Bruce, b) Walt or c) both. But anyway, the story was good, the sex was hot and there were all those DZ themes I enjoy so much, so it was okay ;-) But it still reminded me how much I like knowing beforehand what pairings the story will play with *nodnod*
